**I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed at my own.**

There haven't been many books in recent memory that have made me want to read the entire thing in one day. However, the second book in The Syndicate Trilogy is a definite page-turner that I couldn't put down. This story focuses on one of the main characters of the first novel, Red on the Run. He is a character that would drive most readers crazy, but somehow K.M. Hodge writes him in such a way that you wind up loving him and wanting the best for him in the end. Black and White Truth is a thrilling story, with a little romance mixed in, that is well worth the read. Looking forward to reading the finale of the trilogy soon!!

This second book in this trilogy is fabulous! It is well written and has some surprising moments along the way.

Fast-paced drama full of twists and turns. I enjoyed this book very much! KM Hodge writes a great suspense thriller without a lot of gory violence. Hodge doesn’t write cookie-cutter characters; all the main characters have multiple layers. Most of the characters are from the first story and it is good to see their stories continue.

Although this book can be read as a stand-alone book, I strongly suggest you read the first in the Syndicate-Born series, Red on the Run before reading this one.

I wasn't sure if I would like this book.

I was pleasantly surprised. Set in 2025 and beyond, I was afraid it would be more science fiction than thriller. But aside from some possible scientific advances, it remained a story with a strong human touch. Now on to book three.

Another riveting story line. Twists and turns all the way through., When I started this book I was still stunned by the events in book 1 and was grieving Alex. So, like everyone else, characters included the grieving continued. Nothing is what it seems. This books is a brilliant read, the whole series is a brilliant read.. So well worth the time to sit down and turn the pages.

The 3rd book is True Blue Son, which I am so looking forwards to reading.

This second book in The Syndicate-Born Trilogy is a fast paced, thrilling adventure with flawed, multi layered characters and plenty of suspense. Jason Knettle thinks that after so many years the Syndicate has dissolved and it’s safe for him to write a true crime book about them, but he soon discovers that the Syndicate is now more dangerous than ever. I really enjoyed the evolution of Jason’s character. You can feel the struggles he goes through and the raw emotions he feels. You are there along with him as he hits rock bottom and pulls himself back up. You can’t help but want him to survive and find some happiness. The narrator did a good job of absorbing you in the story and her pace was just right, but sometimes her accent for Jason was just a bit off. This is a fast paced, well-written story with lots of twists and suspense. I look forward to seeing what the conclusion to the trilogy will bring in the next book.

**I was given an advanced readers copy. All opinions expressed are my own.**. every so often I like to mix things up a bit and read something different. I usually read cozy mysteries, and an occasional light romance....but this is not either of those! This is one that I was referring to about mixing it up, I fell in love with the characters in the first book called "Red on the run". This book will keep you in suspense from the very beginning...and at times it will make your heart start pumping...( I actually found myself reading faster as the excitement was escalating,lol)..... thinking that the syndicate is fading away after 17 years,Jason is writing a book about them and the corruption they bring ,until dead bodies are being discovered and he realizes that the syndicate has never really stopped ...they just have been regrouping and are coming back even stronger...and "they" want control of what Jason is writing about them in his book... this is a real page turner. another great suspenseful read from a great author...I highly recommend this book as well as the first...and I cannot wait for the next one.

I received an ARC copy of this book. All views expressed are my own.

K.M. Hodge's Black and White Truth is a richly written and compelling sequel to Red on the Run. The characters have depth, flaws, their own life struggles and are relatable and likeable.

It's been seventeen years since they thought the Syndicate was taken down, but behind the scenes it's being rebuilt under the direction of a vicious psychopath. People are dying and though most of the deaths look like accidents, they are not. Jason, a dear friend to Katherine from the previous book, is determined to write an expose book on the Syndicate but is struggling with his demons and trying to drown them in alcohol. Then, True Blue, a mysterious woman who is with an underground organization, contacts him and takes him to an unlikely cabin so he can sober up and focus all his attention on writing. But the Syndicate has ideas about how the book should be written and once again lives are on the line. This is a page turner from start to finish and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

I wanted to give book one of this series 10 out of 10 stars, and I have to admit this book is jus the as good. In fact, there is one section that I put down and was unsure if I wanted to read on, for fear of what may have happened to the lead characters. It was palpable and heart wrenching, and all too plausible. Obviously I was emphatically attached to the characters, and the outcome of their lives.
You do need to read "Red on the Run" (book 1) as it gives you the background of who is who, and what the Syndicate is.
If you want to know what the books are about, read the blurb from the publisher. If you want to know if the story held my attention and if I enjoyed every page I read : well, the answer is a definite and resounding YES!! I believe if you like thrillers and drama, you will enjoy this book.
I have voluntarily submitted this review after reading an advanced copy of this book.

Black and White Truth (The Syndicate-Born Trilogy #2), my second read from author K.M. Hodge I originally got this book back in January of 2017 & one thing lead to another and I never got around to reading it until now. Extremely well written, the characters, even the minor ones, are well developed with an attention-grabbing storyline. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters. Who and what they are. Why they do the things they do. The things that make the reader get invested into the characters and thereby the story. I’ll be reading more from this author! Better yet this is the second book in a multi-book series that I look forward to reading. Next up, True Blue Son (The Syndicate-Born Trilogy #3). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

This author is one that is sneaky in a good way because she will kidnap you with her story. Having read the first one, I felt the need to read this one also. I love a excellent mystery that is filled with intrigue with this one fitting into that. Jason will be the one who captures you keeping your nose to the kindle using a saying I grew up with to do so. Interesting too he is a writer with opening it wide open for us to be thrilled. I seemed to race through this one having to have all the answers amid the danger. When I do reach the end I need a breather, kinda like a book coma too.

I received this book as a gift and I chose to post a review. This book is full of suspense. It will keep you turning pages. The characters are well developed. This book takes place in the future, seventeen years after Red on the Run takes place. It is a continuation of a saga that will leave you on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book.

I thought RED ON THE RUN was great and could not imagine BLACK AND WHITE TRUTH being better. Well, I was wrong! This book held my attention all the way through. I read it in 2 sittings. The story-line is great. The characters are complex and it's action-packed. There is a lot of violence and horrendous language. If you don't like either, stay away from this series. If you can get past it, read the whole series! Cannot wait to read book #3 in this series.

Amazing story, told so that you don't want to put it down until you're totally finished. Many years after the syndicate is supposedly ended, Jason is trying to solve the mystery, but it is extremely dangerous The syndicate is alive and well and Jason could be in danger. Received it for anARC and review is entirely my own

This book is a real page turner! There are so many twists and turns that you never see coming! "Black and White Truth" is one of those books you don't want to end! Exactly why I am now reading the next one "True Blue Son"! I can't get enough of the characters and wishing they would take down The Syndicate!
