It takes the unexpected engagement of their children to get Draco and Hermione in a room together, but only the selfish acts of their estranged spouses and a 300 Galleon bottle of firewhiskey will get them in a bedroom. What starts out as a one time mistake soon becomes a full-blown affair with a deadline; the day their children say 'I do'. But things rarely go according to plan.
I truly enjoyed this story. I wanted to read something where Hermione and Draco were a little bit older, with children, in order to fill in the gaps I felt were left by other stories and, of course, the original novels. I loved how vivid the world was in the story. Hermione and Draco were certainly the primary protagonists, but we also got to know their children, Rose and Scorpio rather well. Plus there was a whole cast of friends and family that really lent itself to creating the background and rich details of the story. I thought there was certainly character progression and although frustratingly slow at times (because it is in their nature to be quite stubborn) it was certainly worth it and I enjoyed every minute. I thought this story was truly original and adds a lot to the fanfiction community.
OMFG 🙀 stop everything a read this one 5 ⭐️ 3.5 🌶️ where is the 6th star ⭐️ ?? I have not read such a good book since the top tier Dramione like Manacled and All the wrong things etc I loved it 🥰 It was perfect length , perfect content I could not help but laugh so hard in the drama that happened and how it was put together. Only thing that took sometime to get use to was the switch of POV and sometimes took me some lines to realise which POV we were reading I loved seeing older Dramione , I love the side stories as well it was done in a such good way I keep being swooned 😌 I got hooked after one chapter, I loved the dynamics between them, the spice … the spice 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 Definitely a top 10 (if not too 5) of the book from this year I know I will think about it for a long time and keep recommend it to everyone I know
4.5⭐ I absolutely loved this!!! I mean, I loved just about everything about this fic. I rarely read older Draco/Hermione fics and this one, although lengthy, gave me everything. We have everyone in their mid-40s, a separated Ron and Hermione and a divorced Draco and Astoria coming together due to Rose and Scorpius being engaged. Chaos ensues and Hermione and Draco secretly begin a physical relationship that blooms into something more.
I loved the lack of Ron bashing. There was a little bit of Ron bashing, but it wasn't excessive and overdone as I've seen in other fics. I loved the angst behind keeping the relationship secret and getting caught and then it basically being an open secret - it's great. I also loved random Pansy showing up.
Big fan of whatever this was!!!!!! My friend and I read this at the same time and the only thing I could say is “I hope I’m having that much sex at age 45” bc damn they were really going at it. But also good for them 🤗 the story in this one was so sweet and the banter adorable. And also fuck you ron
I liked this one. Great story! Draco and Hermione were so cute together.
Now, I do have one issue that I'd like to rant about. No one else has commented on this issue, so it's probably just me. Feel free to ignore the rant below. If you love Dramione, all you need to know is that this one was worth reading!
It was fine. I didn’t realize it was so long. I thought I was choosing a shorter fic. I really was just wanting a tiny short read and wasn’t looking for a fully fledged book. I say that to preface my review and reveal the potential user error that probably greatly affected my perspective enjoyment.
That being said.. For how long it is, not a whole lot happens. A lot of fluff. I got really bored of most of the subplots like Blaise and Alex, Lily and Parker, Edie. It was doing a lot and not enough at the same time.
I did enjoy that Hermione and Draco are aged up so much. I love them as older protagonists. I also really enjoyed the tabloid/paparazzi element of the plot. I thought that was creative and fun to read.
I don’t love the Hermione as Minister of Magic fics (or in line for it, or wanting to be it). IMO Hermione does not have patience for politics. She is too practical. That’s why I like The Politician’s Wife so much. It kind of gets into that part of her character.
Kind of bummed I read it just because I have other things on my TBR and I feel like I didn’t really need to read this. It was fine. Obviously I enjoyed it enough to finish. But it wasn’t like groundbreaking fun for me.
The chaos in this reminded me of Crazy, Stupid, Love. It was a fun fic, but honestly the double granger/malfoy marriage trope is not for me. people shat on Rose in the reviews but I would have disowned my mother. And all the different kids and dating drama was lost on me, way too many Weasleys. ALSO let’s just go back to Draco being toxic in a kinda non forgivable way and Mione just like, doesn’t care. Hate that.
Still fun, the drama will keep you entertained. As always, needs more Narcissa. ♥️
This fic is huge, a lot happens and the plot manages to stay intense until the end.
By the end, I was already bored of Hermione. I mean, I don't know why in the fics where Hermione is 40+ years old, she has to have an identity crisis that makes her have a mental regression and act like a teenager.
I didn't like the ending, I felt like I read all this, for this ending? I was disappointed.
This is the second time I've read this fanfiction and I love it. I was always Dramione fan and this is everything I could have asked for since it takes the facts of the books as a given and builts from there. Really good writing and beyond-words chemistry.
3.5⭐️ I ate through the first of this book and loved every crumb of it. However, it did start to drag and got a little repetitive. The closer it got to the end the more I felt like a was reading a spicy Hallmark movie. Nevertheless, I still found my self kicking my and laughing at parts.
3.5⭐️ Really loved the plot of the book and the Slytherin boys were top tier. Just couldn’t get behind the break up bit and the ending. Also, it was soooo unnecessarily long.

I fell in love from the very beginning with all the characters. It was amazing how Lena talked about so many characters and there were a bunch of secondary stories as well but it never got too off topic or boring! I loved so many characters in this fic omgg. Besides the obvious Draco and Hermione, Theo and Blaise were hilarious and pretty cool friends (I WANT THEM TO BE MY FRIENDS). Alex had just the right amount of sass and attitude and THIS WAS THE FIRST FIC WHERE I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKED PANSY.
I can't begin to say how happy I was about Hermione and Ginny being so distant. I mean, they were friends but I never really liked Ginny in the first place and I'm tired of reading about her as Hermione's best friend and go-to-girl.
Scorpius and Rose were such cuties <3 The entire plot was so fucked up haha, I definitely don't want my parents to get divorced and start fucking my fiancé's parents. JUST IMAGINE HOW AWKWARD IT WOULD BE. Married step-siblings... But they handled it very nicely. There was the expected screaming and feeling of betrayal and them they accepted it because they just wanted their parents to be happy!
I honestly don't know what I was expecting with the ending >.> For some reason, halfway through the fic, I convinces myself that Draco and Hermione would not be together because hello, their children are getting married??? I thought either they don't get together or the wedding gets cancelled. I didn't want any of that!
Good fics like these are very hard to wrap up since people have such high expectations. But Lena managed to tie up almost every loose end perfectly! Even though my otp's temporary separation broke my heart, it was needed >.> The drama was justt <3333
