I have always loved books, whether I was reading them or writing them. Books were always a perfect escape from reality. When I was growing up, I admired authors and I imagined I would eventually be one.
The primary genre I write is fantasy romance. I love creating tough heroines and sexy vampires, werewolves, Fae, and every other supernatural creature I can come up with. I also write new adult romance when I am in the right mood. I want my readers to get the same joy from reading my stories that I do when I read some of my favorite authors.

This is a strange one for me because I liked this book a lot even though there was a lot in the story I really didn't like.
Elise is a fifty year old vampire and the youngest in her coven. She only wants to have a simple existence but everything stacks up against her. Christian, her maker has her under his thumb and even though she has always wanted to be with him, as they were only ever together once on the night he turned her, she dreams of ways to be free of his rule. When she finally gets some freedom its not what she expected and responsibilities begin to stack up.
I loved how complicated her life got. I liked Christian even though he was the foe in this. He had charm and arrogance and power and I couldn't help but like him. Then there were the other male characters. Each so different and I liked them all for how different they were. What I didn't like was all the sex! I am not a prude. I like reading sex scenes and especially when they are well written and not just thrown in for filler or for the hell of it. But Elise had so much sex. It was constant! For example, she has sex with one person, goes off to have a shower and has sex in there with someone else and then has sex again while getting dressed after the shower sex. It was constant sex, having said that, I understand that Elise is a sex-a-holic and its part of her vampire trait and possibly more, but it was just a bit much. Although I did feel it was the men being used for sex and not the other way around.
There was too much sleeping around for my taste however the author has managed to somehow show real affection within all this promiscuity, which makes the endless sex seem less tasteless and every sexual encounter therefore becomes important.
Everyone is a bad guy in this, even Elise. Everyone has an agenda but everyone is also just trying to do the best they can by the people around them. I hated all the promiscuity, which was a big part of the story, but I loved the actual story and all of the characters.
I'm very confused and I can't wait to read more. 9 out of 10

Good story
I enjoyed the book. However, it ended on a cliff hanger. I HATE THAT ! Also the author doesn't round out the characters. We know nothing about them.
It's hard to connect with them. Maybe book 2 will get better. Not sure yet If I'm going to invest my time and money. Sorry Miss Price.

I am a huge fan of paranormal romances and if sexy, dominant, unruly vampires and Alpha werewolves excite you, then this frighteningly sexy paranormal novel is perfect. This is a new Author to me but I am very impressed with her work. I was drawn into the book from the very beginning, eager to find out more about our Heroine Elise – a vampire who habitually ignores all advice, is stubborn, reckless and self-confident, but at the end of the day, a woman. Her creator and Master, Christian, is very controlling and even though Elise loves him, she craves her freedom. The world we are catapulted in is gripping and all secondary characters are just as interesting as the leads. This is the first installment of a trilogy – eagerly looking forward to see where the Author takes us.

Possible Triggers. Fast paced. Lots of sex.
I loved it. The only thing I didn't like was a couple of times I wasn't prepared for what happened next. Its loaded with hot sex. I hate cliffhangers so I'm hoping the next book is here asap. There's no way to tell how this is going to go, but longer books and less cliffhangers will help.

As I have not read many vampire novels they are slowly becoming part of my favourite paranormal creatures. This novel was no exception. I absolutely loved it & scrumptiously devoured it . The premise of the novel is captivating & will reel you in. A gripping novel that will have you at the edge of your seat. The story itself is very compelling & vivid with lots of riveting scenes. A very sexy spicy decadently delicious novel that is sinfully scrumptious. I am so excited to read Book 2 in the series which is currently available. This fantastic novel not only has sexy domineering vampires, it also has Alpha sexy werewolves & humans. I was drawn into the book right from the beginning as we meet the Heroine Elise who is the youngest vampire at the age of 50 in her Covent & her creator & master Christian who runs the Covent. With main characters that are enchanting, strong, confident, intuitive, & witty. Also with compelling supporting character's that are lively & capture your attention. I highly recommend reading this paranormal romance novel series as it's fantastic & definitely worth one-clicking.
