I received this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review... So, here goes:
This book bored me to death. It started with such promise; introducing a hero who seemed like he should really kick some ass. Turns out the guy is a big, supernatural weeny. Sure, he can kill things with his bare hands, but he seemed so...weak otherwise.
Menage with multiple mates can be hot as hell, but in this book it was just confusing. I didn't know which person was kissing her, which one was fingering her, and which one was actually f*cking her. There was very little detail about the characters. Also, the intensity that a good erotica needs just isn't there.
If erotica were scored like school grades, this book would be preschool. Weak, boring, lacking detail, lacking tension, lacking insensity... all around poorly written tale.
I also received the second book in the series... I don't think it will be any better.

There is a word I would like to inject right here. That word is 'Awkward'. Here is another one. 'Confused'. And one more, 'Uncomfortable'. All of these words come to mind when I went for this title.
fzuab
Yes, I .. made a choice, and picked up this title from Netgalley, knowing that this would probably be a bdsm type book, not my usual choice. But a book like that with Frankenstein's monster? How could I possibly pass this up? I wanted to know just how the hell this fantasy was going to play out.
Well first, it was not at all that BDSM. Actually I only found a few scenes where "Frank" actually, no wait, I don't remember really any scenes where this happens. There is so very much ..... Wait... I need to review again to get this right.
Whitney is a witch who is being pursued by a werewolf because he smells the pungent witchness on her and can use her blood to make himself more powerful. He bites her. Alfred the werewolf is the alphamale of the pack of werewolves that roam the streets at night. "Frank Stein" is in his pack. He is the monster that Dr. Frankenstein made, and he is also a vampire and a werewolf. ?
He saves her from Alfred, and because of it, now he will have to battle the alphabeast so he can be the king of the werebeasts. Is Alfred also a vampire ? I can't recall. I am going with yes. I am also going to say they are all werevamps.
Apparently Alfred is the only one not aware that they have a real life monster in their group. So, Frank saves her, then decides he wants her, but he lets his clan have her too. It is all a jumbled mess. I just read along, eating Cheetos and taking a lot of deep breaths. I mean every author needs a little harumph. Right?
To say that this story was unbelievable makes me giggle. If you are in the mood for some crazy shit and want a bunch of werevampires to take you in every way possible without any repercussions, like PAIN for example, Then this book might be right up your alley.
I mean Jesus H, the man/beast/monster/vampire had a huge member, so the book says, with a spike going through it. Agh! I am just imagining that she might not have any normal feeling in her lower extremities, or maybe she has been pile driven before, maybe many times, but that is not what we are suppose to believe. Lets not worry about that. I mean, fantasy is fantasy. Don't worry about the folks either. There was a point where Frank and friends had to save her parents from the evil Alfred , who was still hot on the trail of Whitney and her witch powers. They arrive at the homestead and basically we are to accept that her parents welcomed these manbeasts into their home. Her parents seem good with the Vampire/Beast clan. And they are okay with their daughter being with them. For Goodness sake, they gave their blessings to Frank and pals to take her right in the next room. This to me seemed just a teeny bit off.
I don't care who you are, parents love their kids (usually) and even if they despise your blue hair and your tongue piercing, they invested a hell of a lot of time, energy and sacrifice to bring you to adulthood. Do you think they are going to let a clan of men take you into the next room and have their way with you? Don't forget, one of them is a giant green guy with bars coming out of the side of his head. I think they might have a little bit to say on the matter.
Maybe you will be thrown into the fantasy of a monster and his friends claiming you as theirs. Did they defeat the evil Alfred? She probably gave them the power to do so with her blood. So now Frank will be the alpha of the vampirewerewolf monsters. Somewhere in there, her friends get involved... but ... maybe they will be in the next book.
All of that aside, there was a lot to tackle in the short amount of book that this one was. It should have been a longer novel. Pull the story , tell us about how all of this came about, not just, this is the way it is, deal with it. (okay Obama)
I read it, and that in itself is a step in the right direction. So, if you have an hour or two to spare, like maybe on a road trip to Hell or something, then read this. I mean there has to be worse books out there, and if this is the kink you are searching for, then by all means, dig in.
She, Whitney the witch, will then be the queen of the beasts and I am sure she will have little frank and pals babies in the next book. Of which I am sure there will be. I would rate this a two star book. I just can't see it being a 3 star, I just cannot make myself.
Just so you know I am being totally honest. While researching this blog post, using the words from the title of this book, I ran across a lot of monster porn images. There are a lot of people who draw and animate sex with monsters. Especially Elves and Orges. That, my friends should be the name of a band. Anyway..... FYI .....I looked. Don't judge me.
If you find you totally dig this book, Check out her others!

Frank is not shy with his words or actions, "Frank pulled her back into his arms. “Whitney, enough. We’ll explain later, but right now we need to settle your parents and get somewhere safe.” He turned her around, pushing her towards the door and swatting her ***. “Whitney, you have a fine *** to swat.” I actually enjoyed this book, Whitney was one lucky girl she had four men.
short read. blurb doesn't give much hint of what to expect and a menage wasn't expected. the plot was actually better than expected (though could have used a little more fleshing out that was denied due to size limit) and had some decent world building and character depth despite it being a short work. it was difficult to judge time spans in the story as dialogue seemed to indicate short span but the events & happenings around it would indicate longer periods, also occasionally hard to follow who is saying what. there was some good smexy time and set up for the next books which I will admit to being interested in. all in all a good choice for when you want a pleasant quick spicy read.
I have read from this author before but I am not sure I will be reading more. While she has some great ideas for her stories, the actual execution leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like everything happens too quickly. It’s not that it’s fast paced, there is just no explanation or elaboration for anything. The story is driven mostly by dialogue and inner monologue with little building of any sort. It’s almost like reading a bullet outline.
I really REALLY like the ideas behind the author’s stories. I feel they have a lot of potential. However, I don’t like the author’s writing style whatsoever. I feel that it needs a lot of editing, but but not due to grammatical errors, syntax, etc.
This is a review request....So I literally finished this book in 2 hours last night. It was fast paced and it did skip areas and had me rereading certain areas to make sure I didn't miss anything. But the plot was there sort of and the fact that we could not really dive into each characters backgrounds and learn more about them took away from the plot. The fact that every one just went along with what was happening did throw me off a bit and it was weird (fast paced remember). I wold like to know what happens to Marci and see where Allie and her dom/sub sides will lead her in the future.
A great start to a new series. This was a fun steamy read. I really liked the story as well as the characters, the story is entertaining and the sex is steamy. An enjoyable read. Looking forward to more.
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. I was not paid for this review, these thoughts are my own.
This is a story about Frank Stein, a werewolf/vampire/human/machine that was created over 342 years ago (because the original Frankenstein story that we know is completely wrong per Frank). He is "the chosen one" (cue tiny aliens from Toy Story)
He has a ragtag pack of other werewolf/vampire hybrids and they decide it is high time to challenge the pack leader in New York (I think it is in New York). During the beginning of an outing, a blue haired witch named Whitney is noticed being chased down the street by said pack leader's minions. Frank and his pack save Whitney and bring her back to Frank's condo. Whitney had been bitten by the alpha Frank is going to challenge and turns into a werewolf in 5 seconds of being in the condo. Frank and his pack believe she is the queen and the 4 of them are her mates. Together. And it is HOT. But let's not get too far ahead. They all go to the home of Whitney's parents, pick up them and Whitney's son and head off to a mansion that Frank owns. Whitney's family is super happy that Frank has stepped out of hiding. They did not expect it to be in their lifetime, and the fact that Frank and his pack has selected their daughter to be queen is even better. This is followed by sexy times, talking, and some more sexy times (I will get into a further breakdown soon). So...who are the other 2 wicked sisters that name this series? Maci is part human part gargoyle...who at Frank's mansion meets 5 brothers that are gargoyles who become her mates. Allie is part Fae. At the start of the early battle, Maci and Allie flea thinking the fight was their fault (they opened the doors which allowed Whitney to be capture by 2 vampire minions of Alfred, the pack leader).
First, I want to start with why I knocked 1 star off. For the first 1/3 of the book, I was really lost and had to reread some parts over. This is a relatively short story, 74ish pages, so I know a lot of information has to be packed into the overall story. However! Some things went waaaay too fast and I couldn't keep up, again, this was really during the first third of the book. For me, everything flowed much smoother once they got to Frank's mansion. I also thought the fight scene did not last long enough. Like seriously. One and done kinda thing. I also did not like that some of the sexual scenes happened in front of Whitney's parents!!! I am usually not mortified by open sex scenes or having people around watching...but her parents!!! And they didn't care! Her dad said "she needs to learn her lesson" lmao!!!! I know in the sexy paranormal world anything goes, but her parents?!?! And then! Dad threw mom over his shoulder, smacked her ass, and said he needed to go remind her who is boss!!! LMAO! I did get a kick out of that one though. Finally, the last reason I only gave it 4 stars was because the title indicates "submissive." But Whitney popped off her mouth often and there was really only one punishment. Also, if this was a D/s relationship, couldn't tell. When I hear submissive, that is what I think of in erotica. I just wished it had a higher element to that. The description of the book is "the one and only Frankenstein who is more than willing to protect her if she submits completely to him. Talk about Scary Sex!"---I was really expecting something further out there than what it was.
Now! On to the good stuff-- I really did enjoy the sex scenes that were in the book. I really like the chemistry between Frank, Cruse, Dana, Theodore, and Whitney. Also, Cruse can spank my ass any day! I liked Frank, but Cruse is def my fave. I also liked the characters as a whole. Though you do not get to fully know all of the characters, what you do get from them in the book makes you want to know more. I bought book 2 (Maci and her delish gargoyles) right after I finished this book because the author leaves you wanting more. Which, I love!!! I cannot wait to see what happens next! Aside from I mention before about not knowing what was going on for a while, I did like the author's style. I like her creativity and imagination. Even though this is a smut filled erotic adventure, she also takes what we know from literature and gives them a sexy spin. I like that. I look forward to reading more of her works in the future.
If you want a quick, sexy, fix...I really do suggest this book. There are few typos, but I really did enjoy the book overall.

I receive a copy of Frankenstein's Submissive from the Publisher and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
You expect another erotic romance, all sex with no plot, and many people will by just for the sex scenes. Gratefully Trinity Blacio never puts out a book like that. Her characters are always interesting and well planned. There is always a plot you can follow and understand. It is one of the reasons I never hesitate to grab up any of her books. The sex scenes are made a part of the story and not included only to spice up the book.
Frank Stein is the modern Frankenstein in that he is part Werewolf, Vampire, Gargoyle and Machine. He finds his and his "brothers" mate when he finds Whitney Rae battered, bruised and on the run. Just as Frank is starting his reign as pack Alpha he must convince Whitney she is their mate and that they will protect her at all cost. The price of this vow is her total submission to them.
My complaints are very few in that the dialog become confusing at times as to who is talking and it need further text in one scene to make it flow smoother and not feel so rushed. That is why I gave it only a 4 out of 5 stars rating. I was surprised at these problems because Trinity is a meticulous person when it comes to her books. Will I still continue to read the series? My answer is a definite yes.
I received a copy of this from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. It was by an author I did not know, but the blurb seemed campy and fun and just the sort of popcorn fare I was looking for.
And, it did deliver in terms of the over the top campy factor. I mean, Frankenstein's monster gets laid in this - just wait until you read about his bolts and his ejaculate (giggle). There are a lot of suuuuuper cheezy and cringe worthy factors, too - the scenes involving sexual talk and actions in front of Whitney's parents and son were particularly cringe worthy to me. I swear she never walks anywhere because someone is always carrying her. And, I had to roll my eyes every time they were talking while in animal form - was it telepathic or was a wolf sitting there speaking English to everyone? There is some serious instant/fated love and sudden pregnancy, so that also goes in to the camp factor.
There really is a plot and I would definitely classify this as paranormal romance, not erotica, because most of the dialogue and scenes revolve around the plot, not just mindless banging. If this story was taken from a novella to a novel, it could be really interesting to find out how the different factions are at odds and how they will be brought together. As for the schmexy times, they were really short and didn't have a lot of build. Plus, the camp factors kept it from being too schmexy/hawt. I mean, come on, there are 4 main men to choose from and the scenes in this book were sparse, comical, and rather tame. Since you're talking about hybrid beings, I think there are lots of ways the author could add intensity and tension.
In general, I think this story could use another round of edits to help tighten the writing - there were a few instances of words being repeated frequently, stilted conversation, and actions that weren't clearly explained out regarding who or how someone was moving.
Overall, I found this to be a cheezy, campy romp. If you're looking for something that is just plain odd, this one may be for you.
I really enjoy reading books by Trinity Blacio but I have to say that the longer she's been writing the worse her editing and grammar becomes. I don't know if it's because she's producing so many titles so close together or what but the first books of hers that I read were the first three books of the Running in Fear series. THEY WERE PHENOMENAL!!! Emotional, character rich, plot strong and all around good. But everything that I've read after those first three get worse and worse in the details and grammar.
Ms. Blacio does an excellent job of building her worlds and her characters. Every book of hers is a menage story with relationships that are believable. But every book in the past two or three years the details make less and less sense until you get to the love scenes. Then they are back to being detailed. It's like she's rushing through everything else to get to the sex. So characters to from being throw stuff mad to all out weeping at the drop of a hat. There's no emotional build up and growth it's just a hormonal jump from one thing to the next. There's also weird illogical timing throughout. Characters are in the middle of a conversion that would only take about 20 minutes but the passage of time around them is hours. A character leaves the room and by the time one still inside the room walks to the window, the person who just left has had time to go to their room, change they clothes and make it outside to the swimming pool. Weird. And this doesn't even cover all of the grammatical errors.
After all this though, I do keep coming back to read her books. She builds great worlds and has strong female characters that are independent but still love their men. I also enjoy the kinky sex too! I do seriously recommend Running in Fear: Escaped, Abandoned, and Coming Home though. I don't remember nearly as many problems in those three books and they are really good!
Whitney Rae was looking for a good time and ended up getting the scare of her life.
Frankenstein sees that Whitney needs help and rushes in to save the day.
And so the story begins... Frankenstein gives Whitney more than she could have ever imagined but trouble is still lurking around every corner... The real question is can Frankenstein save not only the day but Whitney's whole life? Read and find out!
One thing I can say is that Trinity Blacio has a great imagination. Every book I read from her is bursting with sexy characters that rush in to the save the day without breaking a sweat and this book is no exception.
I voluntarily read this advance reviewers copy of this book
Frankenstein is hot and knows the importance of perfect piercing placement...Whitney is fun and knows the importance of keeping her family and friends safe. Now I must admit there were moments where I thought she was a little bit too close/comfortable with her parents but overall they played a great part in the book.
One thing I wish... is that this book was longer. I think if it was longer there would have been more time to develop some of these relationships and make them build to a point that would have guaranteed a 5 star rating. Overall this book was good if not a little bit confusing.
I had a hard time deciding on a score for this book. There were some writing tics that made it hard to tell whose POV we were in at times but the story itself kept me interested right until the end.
I haven't read any of Ms Blacio's books or I might have been prepared for this to be not so much a BDSM story but a menage with Frank and his crew being the ones to rescue Whitney from their enemy and find a connection.
Whitney is a single Mom with an abusive partner in her past. She is also a witch with her own posse of friends with links to the paranormal world which includes vampires, Werewolves and Gargoyles. And Frank who is a little bit of everything.
The story line is quite interesting, with Frank being the leader facing a challenge from another power group. Whitney has her own part to play and I'm assuming her foster sisters will have their own stories in future books. It managed to pack a fair amount of world building in, despite the short length.
This is an erotic novella, not very long but with some pretty intense smex scenes. There was a little bit of dirty talk but not overly done. I enjoyed it and will probably keep an eye out for the rest of the series to find out what happens with the sisters we met in this story.
There was a really good premise for a different type of story hidden among the pages of this book, but it got overshadowed with way too much romp and raunch. The storyline seemed to be more about the sex than anything else. And, Whitney didn't really seem to fit the role of the traditional sub. It was more like a lot of new situations were being thrown at her, and she knew she was part of this long-held prophecy, so she did her expected "part", albeit very enthusiastically. But, nothing about her seemed sexually submissive in any way. It also gave me the heebie jeebies when the blunt sex talk and sex acts commenced with Whitney's parents RIGHT THERE mere feet away on the patio. *uncomfortable CRINGE*
I did love the interaction between Frank and Andrew, and the way he immediately looked upon him as a son, though. And, I liked the theme that family isn't always just your blood kin.
For my personal tastes, though, this book could have done with a lot LESS hump and a lot MORE heart. I think the author is a TALENTED ENOUGH writer to not have to rely on an overabundance of gratuitous sex to sell the story.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and Riverdale Avenue Books in order to read and give an honest review.
This was my first time reading anything by Trinity Blacio. I knew it was an erotic novella about Frankenstein aka Frank Stein but not too much more. Frank is part vampire, human, werewolf, and machine. He plans to take his rightful spot as alpha by challenging the current one. He ends up saving Whitney ( a witch) who according to prophecy is meant to be his queen. This is a very different version of the Frankenstein tale and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
There are some very steamy scenes that involve "group" activity and some dirty talk but it was not distracting from the story. I didn't give this more stars simply because there were some grammatical errors that made it hard in certain spots to keep track of who is talking. it was also hard to tell the difference between internal and external dialogue. overall though it was a very quick and interesting read.
The book was good, I enjoyed it. However it was just so short and abrupt. The idea of sex scenes were amazing, but lack the detail needed to really intrigue the reader. To really paint the story, add more detail, if you wish to leave them this way, I see them as almost a short story of sorts and not a novel.
The fight scene was honestly anticlimactic, this was what the entire story was based around and all Frank as to do is grab him and snap his neck? That's it, no real words, no "dancing" just a grab and snap.
Or how did Whitney get blood on her? Obviously she fought, but Frank doesn't even rough them up? Or how do we know Whitney begged for their lives? I don't remember reading that. Too much is left out.
I like to picture the characters in my mind as I read, see what the reader sees as they write, to do that details are a must. The idea in general of the book is amazing, I love it.

I requested a free copy from NetGalley.com; this is my honest review. This is a trilogy of erotic menage; all 3 books needs to be read in order; they are also all connected by the characters playing a role either primary or secondary. If you don't like magic, this trilogy is not for you. I loved that the author included a few legends in her stories. I loved the interaction between the menages, how the men took care of their woman, how the woman melted into them without losing her personality. The only thing I really didn't like was the editing, which absolutely needs another pass; it was very distracting. Book #1 is about a she-werewolf, Frankenstein and his brothers.
We all know the original book version of Frankstein...he was misunderstood and not really a monster. This story takes a spin on the original story. Frank is more humanized in this story. He cares about his pack (and they are an unusual conglomeration) and they protect those they love with everything in their hearts. Whitney and her son deserve to be brought into their fold and loved. The story is very fast moving, almost to the point of "what just happened". I enjoyed the storyline but would have liked the story to move slower.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
All Whitney Rae wanted was a hot one-night stand. Instead, she ends up bitten by a werewolf on the run! And her rescuer happens to be the one and only Frankenstein who is more than willing to protect her if she submits completely to him. Talk about Scary Sex! I went into this with fairly low expectations since it’s pretty much just an erotic story. Unfortunately, even those expectations were ruined and I stopped reading before I even got to a true sex scene. Everything was seriously rushed even for this type of book. I just didn’t like it at all. **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Ugh. So, this could have been awesome fun. Instead, it's pretty cringe worthy. Between magical come and shifts during sex. No thanks. I'll watch animal planet if I'm so inclined. It's almost like the fight for control of the werewolf pack was thrown in just so that there was some other plot than scromping. Don't get me wrong, I read quite a bit of the hot & heavy, just prefer there to be a bit more story.

Super unique and fresh, this short erotic romance will throw you for a loop! I haven't quite read a book like this before and it was honestly...refreshing. Its paranormal elements are eye-opening and just had me lost in the moment and turning the pages quickly. Trinity Blacio is an author to look out for and I am anxious to see what comes next. I recommend this to readers who love paranormal romances but want something different yet HOT!
I loved it, I’m a sucker for Sci-Fi and Fantasy romances and Frankenstein’s Submissive was an awesome read. Whitney, Frank and the rest of her pack, had sizzling chemistry. The spin on the family history of Frank was so refreshing. Trinity Blacio knows how to write a fast paced, sexy as sin, fantastical read.
**** I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book****
When Whitney escapes Alfred she is rescued by Frank and his "brothers". A powerful witch she is recognized as their queen. Book one in the Wicked Sister's trilogy I am looking forward to the sister's stories.
Yet another great book by Trinity Blacio!! I just absolutely loved it! A definite must read!! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! Happy Reading!!! :)
