Jackie lives on a farm with his parents and all the usual critters that fall into such a life. Being a young lad, he's eager for a playmate to share in his wanderings and adventures, but all have their own doings and he's left lonely...until his parents bring him a duck. Their bond is immediate and most joyful, until "Little Quack" goes missing. The realization that beings often need to amongst their own is a hard lesson, but one that resolves itself in tenfold. Colorfully rendered by Katy MacDonald Denton, Little Quack shows us love can come in many forms and is often most welcome as is.

I loved this story. It reminded me of the rubber duck I lost when I was a
baby.
