I've truly enjoyed this series with its fast paced mixture of action, magic and romance but the emphasis is always on the adventures these characters go on. Three young women all with powerful magic but no idea of who they really are or how they came together. Plus as FireSouls their freedom is at stake so remaining hidden whilst staying in plain sight is always a challenge.
The stories start with Cassie discovering that certain powerful magical artefacts are being hunted down by someone who just might hold answers to the girls past but it's soon abundantly clear that evil is creeping up on the three FireSouls. Now luckily Cassie has met Aiden, the most powerful shifter she has ever encountered and as they work together their trust builds and at some point Cassie knows her secret might just get revealed.
These stories take you to magical lands, the places Cass lands up are simply amazing and its such an imaginative series of adventures. I found myself looking up so many places of historical significance and at times almost had whiplash but thankfully it's all worth it in the end. I thought this series was suitable for slightly younger readers but as a mature reader it certainly held my attention

June 24, 2017Ancient Magic – Waking up in the middle of nowhere with no memories except a few words among two other girls that you have no memory of would be horrifying in itself. Then to figure out you have powers that are forbidden would definitely make me want to run and hide. Cass, Nix, and Del become very strong women/sisters in a world that is strange and confusing to them in the beginning then when things start to take a turn and Aidan (The Origin himself) shows up things get even rockier. Cass and Aidan make a team to be reckoned with once Cass finally lets go even for a small amount of time. Linsey Hall grabbed me with The Mythean Arcana series and holds on tight with this one. I can't wait to read more of this series.
Mirror Mage – Nightmares of a past that she can't remember and when those nightmares become her present reality things get scarier than before. Del, Nix, Cass, Aiden, Conner, and Claire all come together to help save one little girl while Del, Nix, and Cass try to keep their secret. Things come to light but more things stay in mystery. Aiden and Cass start discovering each other more and more. Secrets can keep you safe but they can also get you captured, as Cass finds out quickly. The monster is lurking and the women want to find and destroy him. Linsey Hall keeps pulling me in deeper with this second book of the Dragon's Gift series.
Stolen Magic – I couldn't imagine losing 15 years of my memory and then very slowly getting it back. That, to me, would be torture in itself. Aiden, Cass, Nix, and Del make one heck of a team when they work together. Now on a mission to save the world the sisters find themselves piecing together not only their past but possibly the reason what the Monster is up to. Aiden and Cass start getting closer to each other and opening up to each other more. Linsey Hall has caught me in her web of words and hasn't let go yet. I can't wait for more in this series.

Ancient Magic
3 girls wake up in a field with no memory of who they are or where they come from. What happens next is a wonderfully weaved tale of them learning to hide in plain sight and thrive. That is until Cass takes a job that threatens their safety and lives. And who is this strange man that awakens things in Cass that terrifies her. I love the characters and the storyline and can't wait to see where this series goes. There is excitement, intrigue, some stuff blown up and more. A true page turner in a way that only Ms Linsey can do!
Mirror Mage Book 2
If you thought there was action and intrigue in Ancient Magic book one of the Dragon's Gift The Huntress series you are in for a surprise. While Ancient Magic set the foundation and introduced us to the 3 Fire Souls, Aiden, Clair and Connor, the gloves are off now. In this branch of the series we learn more about the ladies and their background as the memories start to surface. Will they let their guard down and help when they are asked and will they reach out a hand and trust that their friends will have their back. Will their past save and the good and honest women they are save them from rotting in a cell. The story is well developed and you will find yourself pulling for the ladies, especially Cass to make it all work out in the end. Will Aiden stay by Cass side thru thick and thin or will his secrets cause a rift. Lots of fun and excitement and even some laugh out loud moments. Just when you think its all over BAM! It is.
Stolen Magic
Cass is carrying the weight of the world as usual in this exciting and action filled read of the series, with her sisters close by and let's not forget the hunk Aiden. Cass's guilt over the ease of stealing powers and how strong the urge is becoming grows but so does her determination. As the duo, trio and sometime quartet head straight into battle to save their town and fight against the Monster visions happen and tough choices have to be made. This book of the series is just as packed with page turning action while you hold your breath , laugh out loud or suppress a tear you still aren't prepared for the book to end. The characters remain strong and true and the great writing keeps your attention. I can't wait to see what happens next, it is sure to be an adventure as long as the Sisters and Aiden are around for Cass.

A great new series from Linsey Hall in the making. As with the Mythean Arcana series, Dragon's Gift: The Huntress series promises an array of supernatural beings, danger, thrill action and romance. It is of course engineered to a younger audience but nothing is lacking in the story or how enjoyable the book is. I for one could not put it down in spite of life getting in the way. I know I'm going to be making my teenaged daughter read it.
1 Ancient Magic: The story takes off with Cass facing off a hoard of demons as she tracks down an artifact. Cass, Del and Nix have made a life for themselves after finding themselves in a field with no memory of who and what they are. But after several years of making it on their on and hiding the fact that they are the most feared of Magicas, their secret is in danger of getting out as the unknown evil that had held them captive all those years ago returns to haunt them.
2 Mirror Mage: The plot thickens as Cass discovers that the Monster is behind the recent kidnapping of a 10-year-old shifter child. Aiden is now training her every chance he gets. The close proximity is stirring up feelings that Cass feels maybe too dangerous to let out. But she can't seem to deny them anymore. Even though their secret may be revealed, Del and Nix are convinced that Aiden can be trusted. Claire, Connor, and the leonine Mathais play major roles in this book too. I love the way the story is expanding and taking shape at this stage.
3 Stolen Magic: The chase gets crazier as the Monster gets closer to finding our favorite Fire Souls. And this time he is too close for comfort Cass Clereaux is realizing that the power of being a Fire Soul is more out of her hands than she thought. No wonder they were hunted and imprisoned by the Order of the Magica. But the Monster has his own agenda and the only thing standing between him and world domination is Cass and her friends.

This series deserves more than 5 stars!
Imagine Indiana Jones, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Harry Potter all rolled into one story. Right! That's how good this is! The action and adventure are big motivators already, add to that the wonderful archeological tidbits you can find within every Linsey Hall masterpiece! Every page, every story and every character will bring you to the wonderful world of Firesouls, Shifters and Magic!!!
Less than 10% into the series and you will be sucked into the thrill and action! It's the kind of story that you won't be able to put down!
And the characters are just so engaging you will definitely fall in love with them! I can't wait to read more of the adventures these characters will get into.
This is another series that will definitely stay with you even after you've read the last page!
