This has literally everything that you need to know about ancient Greece, even the notes have notes in this one. I'd say that if you read a good book about ancient Greece history, that has details and not just references, then you're good, you don't need to buy another, but if you're thinking about purchasing a good one that includes pretty much all of the Greek history, then this one's your baby to be!

Unlike most histories of ancient Greece, this one goes up to the Byzantine period with considerable thoroughness. Strongly recommended as an introductory text for serious students.

Πολύ καλό βιβλίο. Περιέχει πλήθος πληροφοριών, ιδιαίτερα σημαντικών, απλά θεωρώ ότι σε μερικά σημεία γίνεται λίγο περίπλοκο και δύσκολο στην κατανόηση χωρίς να υπάρχει λόγος.

Deliciosa exposición de la apasionante historia de la Grecia antigua, especialmente en tres de sus momentos clave: las guerras médicas, la guerra del Peloponeso y las conquistas de Alejandro con la subsequente proliferación de estados helenísticos (habitualmente enfrentados entre ellos) tras su muerte. Todo ello en unas 500 páginas escritas generalmente de manera erudita pero amena.

Muy recomendable para iniciarse en la historia de Grecia, como era mi caso.
