Book one Long Hard Ride
Amazing first book. Way more erotic then I first thought.
Channing is in a sorta midlife crisis and decides to go on the road with a rodeo cowboy that hasn't been completely trustful with Chan after leaving him she meets Colby McKay Trevor and Edgard. The have an understanding that anything goes in or out of bed. That's until Colby start to feel possessive and try's to claim Channing but before Colby and Channing really say what they're feeling Colby has a serious accident whole competing.
Amazing ending proper soppy HEA that I love.
Book two Rode Hard, Put Up Wet
This is the second book in the series. This book it a bit different because it's more a spilt story with main character Gemma and Cash then the second characters are Macie Cash daughter and Carter McKay.
Gem and Cash have been circling each other for 2yrs but with Gemma grieving her dead husband and Cash chasing the golden buckle they seem to miss there chance. That is until Gemma chases Cash to a rodeo where she offers him full time job as manager. While at the rodeo Carter see's the object of his imagination Macie. Macie and Carter start a serious wild up and down relationship that have both of them in good and bad moments. This book is full of emotional turmoil and sexual freedom to explore for all characters. Quick pace because of the book being about more the just one H/h. Characters from first book make appearances like Colby and Channing but I felt really sorry for Trevor hopefully he gets his HEA too.
Book three Cowgirl Up and Ride
Cord does come across as a boring old rancher that needs a bit of life and spice in his life. That's where Aj comes in with a crazy proposition of hold nothing back sexy for virginal Amy Jo. Aj doesn't think anything will come of her brief secret relationship with the love of her life but she doesn't count on Cord falling for an amazing woman how puts everything before herself.
This book has a lot going on. A lot of characters coming and going. Especially the more rowdy family like Colt, Dag, twins Kane and Kade.
You also meet new characters Skylar who was briefly dating Kane until she found out he was actually Kade and India Skylar sister.
Great story and love that Cord really romance Aj in end.

Really nice to start all over again I’ve read these a few time in the past but it’s been awhile so I’m reading while series again. I love these books just as much as when I first read them.

I love this little novella to catch up with three of the Rough Rider couples. The third story is my favorite with Jack aka GQ and several times pregnant Keely.

Colby McKay is a wild pretty boy bull rider. He wants Channing and he wants her to spend the rest of the season with him. She wants adventures and he wants her so its a win-win situation. She wants to experience it all, including being shared between the three of them. Enter Trevor. Oh, Trevor he is a man that can hold his own and loves to share women with Colby. Yes I said Share..

Cord McKay is the oldest of the McKay brothers and most of the time feels like the weight of the world is on his shoulders. Already been burned once in love leaving him to raise his son alone he has no desire to find someone. Even if Amy Jo has tried everything to get his attention. He shouldn't want her. She was too young for him. When he see AJ at the bar one night all grown up and mouth watering he decides he wants her for himself and decides to teach her everything she wants to experience himself.
This story is one of my all time favorite stories. I love AJ and Cord together.
This is an amazing deal to get these three books together. If you love HOT cowboys and amazing HEA you will love these and will want to read the entire series which is complete and has a new spin off series that has the first book out this past summer.

Long Hard Ride, Rode Hard, Cowgirl Up & Ride
This bundle of the first three novels in the Rough Riders series was the first thing I'd ever read from this author, and over all a good introduction to the series.
3 stars--In Long Hard Ride, the story of Channing and Colby, it felt like being put down in the middle of the story, or at least what felt like a few chapters in. She's with a guy named Jared who's apparently a bit of a jerk and turns out to be married, so she leaves him and jumps right into bed with not just Colby but his two buddies. Then you find out she'd only been with Jared for a very short time, and had taken up with him as a last rebellion before taking up the life her parents had designed and laid out for her. I would have liked to have read the beginning of her story, like how a girl from Massachusetts met Jared in the first place, and ends up "running away with the rodeo." Also, the way she flits from one partner directly to others makes her come across as a sl*t, quite frankly. The redeeming part of this story is the way the author manages to turn this unlikely situation into not just a relationship story, but one of two relationships, although one doesn't end well.
4 stars--Rode hard is the story of two couples, Gemma and Cash, along with his daughter Macie and Carter. I like the Gemma and Cash story a lot, Macie and Carter less so because he acted like a jerk throughout a lot of the story and I thought she should have kicked him to curb. The redeeming quality is that he did eventually wise up. At times I disliked the flipping back and forth between the two stories, but that's a tribute to the author's storytelling abilities that I would be so caught up in one story that I would be reluctant to leave them behind to read the other.
5 stars--Cowgirl Up & Ride, the story of Amy Jo, aka AJ, and Cord. I don't usually like younger girl, older guy romances because often the girl is immature and the guy comes across as pervy, but that's not the case here. She had to grow up fast due to family responsibilities thrust on her at a young age, and he is very conscious of their age difference and reluctant in the beginning, despite their mutual attraction. In the end, he has to "cowboy up" and pursue her, and despite her loving him for most of her life, she's prepared to move on with her life without him (and does) if he doesn't step up.
Overall love this series, the stories are well written, enough so that I kept reading despite my dislike of some of the plot twists in a couple of places.

She's a well to do city girl who wants to be a country girl. She starts seeing someone on the rodeo circuit and finds out that he is not a good guy. In walks Colby. He's a bull rider who knows what he wants. He wants Channing and he wants her to travel the circuit with him now. They both seem to want the same thing. Specifically each other as well as adventure and nothing more, but both find that they do want more.
This a very hot and steamy cowboy series. This story does involve more people than just the couple, but there is no "technical" cheating.

This is a double story. You have Gemma Jenson and Cash Big Crow's story. And you have another story line that involves his daughter, Macie Honeycutt and Carter McKay. Yep, another McKay!

The Rough Riders series is not to be missed! This bundle takes you back to the very beginning of the Rough Riders series...it has everything you would expect from the exceptionally talented Lorelei James....hot sexy cowboys, strong and stunning leading ladies and lots of steam! But that is not all....these books begin the journey of the McKay family, a strong, close knit family that brings family values to an amazing level in this genre. Throughout these books, the family grows from joy and as well as struggle and James does not shy away from real life issues that make these books appealing and relatable from beginning to end. The first (of many) times that I ready Long Hard Ride I fell madly in love with this series....Colby and Channing started it all for me and I've never looked back! The only regret is that you can only read this series for the first time once. But the re-reads will happen over and over again as you crave more time with the McKay family.
Sit back and be prepared to lose a day or more as you dive into the world of cowboys, bullriders, tough as nails men with heart and soul and the extraordinaty women they find for their often fought- for happliy ever after!

I first came across the Rough Riders books back in 2010--little did I know how much I would come to love this series. In this bundle you get the first three books, each of which is delightful. The first book, Long Hard Ride, is about Channing and Colby. The second book, Rode Hard, is about two couples, Macie and Carter, and Gemma and Cash. The third book, Cowgirl Up and Ride, is about AJ and Cord.
What’s really great about these books is that the characters reappear quite frequently throughout the series. You never feel like anyone has been left behind at the expense of new characters, which is sometimes the case with a series of this size.

Amazing!!
Absolutely in love with all of the Rough Riders series. The McKays and West are an amazing families. They are true cowboys in all of the natural sense of the word. They are rough, tough, rugat, hard-working, and they love with all their heart Cowboys. I absolutely love this amazing series. Five kudos to Mrs. James*****

Introduces first 3 books in a long series. Set on a ranch, with large family who progressively find their HEA in each book. The stories are very steamy, while it feels a little forced sometimes it is well written. The Hs are all strong, flawed and need their partners to become their best version. Lots of challenges, sadness and fun.
