Disillusioned with love, Dr. Sean Gallagher returns to Marietta to join its expanding medical facility. Marietta’s newest, most eligible bachelor isn’t looking for long-term involvement – especially not with his brother’s much-younger former girlfriend, Honey Jordan. But short term? That’s another matter.
Escaping a toxic relationship with her father, barrel racer Honey spends as little time as possible in Marietta. Home for the 78th Annual Copper Mountain Rodeo, a brief fling with the town’s hottest new doc might be just the thing to distract her until she can leave again.
But when a riding accident strands Honey in Marietta, an affair meant to last a few nights turns into something much deeper, leaving both Sean and Honey torn between the safety of saying goodbye and the heartache of losing what they dare not admit they’ve found — one true and lasting love.

Love Me, Cowgirl, the 4th book in The 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo Series was my favorite of the whole series. It was so good! I loved the main couple Honey and Sean, the Gallagher brothers, and Honey's brothers. Eve Gaddy's writing style worked well for me and the story just flowed. It grabbed me from the start and I power read til the end! My only problem with this book is I wanted more. I wanted it to be longer.
Honey was great. She was sweet, playful and outgoing. A total cowgirl. She had a weakness when it came to her dad. She enabled his alcoholism. At times I felt frustrated with her over the way she let her dad treat her, but at the same time I could understand it. I loved when she finally took her stand and stopped enabling him. Honey was relatable and very endearing. Sean OMG Dr. Sean was yummy! I just loved him soooo hard! Everything about him. He felt down to earth. Hardworking, loyal, sexy, caring, and good with horses. He was a Doctor and a cowboy, I mean come on, that is sexy overload!
Honey and Sean were super steamy. They go into their relationship agreeing it will be a no strings attached fling. But their "just having fun" turns into something real, really quick. They had great chemistry and it was fun seeing them fall hard for each other. I love that even though they had a great and fun relationship they still had fights. They disagreed, everything wasn't sunshine and rainbows. They had problems, but they talked about them and they were respectful of each other. And passion they had tons of passion burning up the pages!
I want to just say that I found it funny that in the last book Want me Cowboy, I hated that the hero slept with the heroine's sister, and in this book the heroine dated the hero's brother years ago and I had no problem with it. That has more to do with the way it was written. The brother had no problem with them dating, he didn't hit on her. And she told Sean right away. Honesty so refreshing. I also want to say that I loved Sean's brothers so much and was so invested in them that I started googling to see if they have their own books. They do..... and I'm so going to read them! I was happy to see the Gallagher brothers books were also written by this author. Dr. Jack Gallagher book, Sing Me Back Home is already out so I will be picking it up. But Dr. Wyatt Gallagher's book The Doctor’s Christmas Proposal comes out in Nov and I can't wait. Wyatt's book sounds so good, friends to lovers, the best kind. But I didn't find Dylan's book(he is the brother Honey dated) and I was hoping to get his hea. This book was a great, quick read.
This read was nice and easy, pretty low stakes throughout. I liked our main couple and their dynamic, it felt authentic. Not to mention the drama was pretty minimal. The only thing I’d really ask for is that the epilogue be more focussed on the main couple rather than just promoting the next book in the series. I hate when they do that.
There’s nothing quite like actually falling into a handsome man’s arms to get a relationship off to a stunning start. Sean may have rescued the beauty hanging from the side of the building when her ladder tipped while stringing Christmas lights, but he didn’t yet know that it was she who would shortly capture his heart. It was obvious she knew who he was but while she was familiar he hadn’t a clue. When asked she simply laughed and said to ask his brother… oh, boy. What has he gotten himself into.
Honey found it amusing that the stunning handsome Dr Sean Gallagher had no clue who she was. True it had been many years since she’d dated one of his brothers, but she’d let him discover that little fact. Right now she was seriously considering a fling with Sean, they certainly set off sparks between them. Honey never stayed in Marietta long, she was home for the rodeo and when it was completed she’d be on the road to the next competition. She had her reasons for not staying in town and letting her father get drunk everyday knowing she’d pick up his jobs for him. No, it was better all around that she basically lived on the road., she didn’t have to deal with dear old drunk dad – and any relationship she might have picked up had a definite expiration date. This was her life, maybe she didn’t want it to be this way but she survived, made enough money from the rodeo and her bags designs to meet her needs. If watching her friends pair up with happy ever afters set her to wishing, well she’d get over it fast.
Little did Honey know that one barrel riding accident, a serious injury, a traumatized beloved horse and one sexy, handsome, stubborn doctor were all about to change the path of her life forever.
I enjoyed Love Me, Cowgirl so much. Sean has just come out of a relationship that was nothing but lies and he’s feeling quite angry and played. Honey doesn’t do relationships because she’s never going to be in one place long enough to let it grow into something permanent. But, hey, they can both get behind a fling, one steamy, sexy fling that lasted only as long as she was in town. Yeah, right. Emotions wouldn’t play a part at all in this perfect setup – until they did and choices had to be made.
Honey has been enabling her alcoholic father for a long time. When she’s in town he goes on a bender asking her to do him “favors” like completing jobs that he’s too drunk to do. Her brothers have wiped their hands of their father, after a few stints in rehab and nothing changed, they had moved on opening their business away from Marietta. When she’s seriously injured and could not possibly do any “favors” he still asks like broken bones are nothing to stop her from doing his jobs for him. It will take awhile, but Honey will finally say no, and that decision becomes freedom in many ways.
Sean is not only a talented doctor – he’s also a horse whisperer, but never, ever call him that. He has the touch, that special something that can speak to a troubled horse and change them. He works his magic on Honey’s horse Halo after the accident when Halo becomes traumatized and almost out of control. Sean’s ability is something he tries to keep under wraps as he feels he failed a horse as a younger man. Honey and Halo will help him to see that what he has is a gift to be cherished and shared.
Sean and Honey will have some rough moments in their romance. Not everything will be smooth sailing but with determination and a huge bunch of flowers anything is possible. I enjoyed this couple, both are somewhat broken in some ways, and their healing requires them to acknowledge their feelings for each other and to let go of the past.
I would definitely recommend Love Me, Cowgirl and both series as well. If you love cowboys, hot doctors, and that special something that makes one couple perfect for each other… then you’ll enjoy this romance.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this novel. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this story.*

I really struggled to get into this book. Neither Sean nor Honey really made me care about them. Some of the later angst made finishing this book easier, but the first half of the book was so uninteresting to me that if I hadn't gotten it from Netgalley to review I probably would have DNF'd it.
It's not a bad book and the final, overall story was pretty good. The first half just didn't appeal to me in any way. I'm glad I finished it since it telegraphed the next book pretty hard.
This is the 4th book in the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo series set in Marietta, MT. If you read the previous book in this series, you already had a preview of the relationship between Honey Jordan and Sean Gallagher. An accident during Honey's run at the barrel racing event changes things between her and Sean. I did appreciate how the author progressed the story along and how the characters dealt with a variety of emotions and life situations.
After reading a few suspenseful romance books about tracking down serial killers, I needed a good time cowboy love story. This book hit all the marks for me. Starring a sexy doctor/cowboy/horse whisper and a beautiful young barrel racing cowgirl. Dr. Sean Gallagher is one of the brothers of this small town’s favorite families. Not looking for a real relationship he agrees to a “friends with benefits” arrangement with part-time local resident, Honey Jordan. Honey is at least ten years younger than the good doc, and also used to date Sean’s baby brother. The age difference and the dating his brother are pretty much non-factors for these two. Their biggest hurdle is Honey’s toxic relationship with her father. Half way through this book, I realized I had already read the final book in this series. Now I want to complete the Gallagher’s of Montana series.
Honey Jordan is hanging lights from a ladder onto a Marietta town building when the ladder shifts and she is about to fall. Dr. Sean Gallagher yells to her let go so he can catch her. She does and when he catches her they feel the attraction. Sean does not realize that Honey was Dylan's, brother, who she had dated. Now after being in Sean's arms she only wanted Sean! Honey and her horse Halo rode in the barrel races at the Rodeo event. The next day she rode and her horse fell and she got a concussion, a broken arm and several bruises. Honey could not say no to her father when he needed help but now she could not work. Honey felt so good when she was with Sean but they both knew it was only a fling even though it felt like more. Honey and Sean had a fight about her dad and they broke up. Then they both missed each other but neither would give in and apologize. If they admit how they really feel maybe they can find a way to their HEA.
An easy read with a flowing story that engaged me from the beginning with a nice continuity with the other books in the series. You don't have to read the others or to read them in order, each stands alone. This is a coming home type of story, for Sean returning from a stressful career in San Antonio and leaving behind a cheating girlfriend. Honey is held away from returning home due to her alcoholic father she tries to avoid instead on saying no to her continued enabling. What starts as a friends with benefits type of relationship you can quickly see that these two would never be able to leave it so causal.
I enjoyed this book very much! I like the Gallaghers and how loyal and caring they are with each other. These books are so warm and loving and surprisingly filled with some really mindful philosophical tidbits. There is romance, sexiness, fun, and an interesting storyline plus my favorites... Dual point of view and an epilogue!!! Can't beat that combo as far as I am concerned! Highly recommend! 😀
Honey Jordan stays away from home as much as she can as a traveling barrel racer for the rodeo. When she comes home during a break from barrel racing she lands in the arms of Dr. Sean Gallagher, literally. Sean isn't looking to be tied down and Honey isn't looking to hang around Marietta long but what could be the harm in the little harmless fun. Such an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the story, the setting, and the characters. Looking forward to more from Eve!
Sean came back to Marietta to be with his family and practice medicine. He meets Honey after the ladder she is on falls and leaves her hanging. They connect but both a first aren't looking long term but something changes and her accident seems to make them connect more.
This was a free book from Goodreads but I had read others in this series. Can't say that this was my favorite. Something just didn't jive and by a third of the way I was skip reading. Pages goes fast and nothing seems to get missed. Very predictable. Most of us who read romance fiction could have written this story.
This started out pretty good, but went downhill after the first chapter. I was hoping for a beautiful love story, but it was confusing with many of the characters and the storyline was never really developed as far as I am concerned. Definitely not reading anymore from this author .
It has been hard for Honey to be home, she can only be there a short time. Can this time be different? Can she tell her dad no? Will she stand with her brothers against his alcoholism and find love or will she forever be alone?
A very good story, in fact, a must read. This is written by one of my favorite authors! A fascinating modern day western romance! A barrel racer, a cowboy dr, all the western works , make a great book!! Should have given it a 5....
She’s a cowgirl barrel rider, he’s an orthopedic doctor. Neither wants a relationship, but that attraction changes their minds and hearts. She gets hurt and as he takes care of her love happens.
It was ok but it wasn’t that great. A whole lot of back and forth with “I can’t fall for her” and “I can’t fall for him”, “this will never work”, “we will never work but let’s enjoy the hot sex”. Break up, deny, deny, deny....oh I love you, I love you too! The end. Blah.
I would recommend this book to adults that enjoy stories that are funny, steamy, suspenseful, and romantic, with strong characters both male and female.
