Fabulous book
I loved the illustrations and the story line. It was part mystery with a feel good ending. I loved the set up for the next book. I can't wait to read it. Well done.

My Review: I absolutely loved the first Pancho Bandito story and have waited far too long to read this one. For some reason this one didn't capture me quite the way the first one did with it's Tall Tale feel. While that was a little disappointing, this was still a great story. I enjoyed the characters and the unique way the Pancho develops as a character. The Avocado Desperadoes brought a dark element to the story but it was done in a way not to scare young kids. It also sets up perfectly for the next book in the story. Definitely a fun and unique read children and adults will enjoy.

My now 4.5 year old really enjoyed the first book in this series. We downloaded it free a little over 2 years ago and we've probably read it a million times since. I finally broke down and purchased the sequel. He was enertained, but in my grown up opinion this book is not nearly as good as the original. The very strange sci-fi storyline was pretty disappointing. It was very disjointed and seemed like it written in stream of consciousness. I'm glad I didn't spend $40 on the hardback versions.

In this story Pancho comes across a town of avocado farmers. They are being robbed of their avocado. Pancho tries to help but gets injured. The old grandmother tells him about his “people” and he goes in search of them. What he learns and what he finds may just help him protect the innocent farmers.
