I had a blast reading this. This is bombastic, no nonsense , Frank Miller action comics at their best.
The main crux of the story is that the kryptonians stuck in Kandor are turned full sized, but unfortunately, an insane cult leader has brainwashed many of the Kryptonians to take over the Earth and rule with an iron fist.
In order to combat this, Bruce Wayne comes back into the fray, which actually it seems like he hasn't really left, just stepped into the background. He and Carrie, from the other books, travel to the Fortress of solitude to get Superman to join the fight against the Kryptonians.
What follows is basically a who's who of the DC universe teaming up to take on the Kandor Kryptonians. The story is not complicated, which is perfect for a Frank Miller book. He manages to take the overall gruff and gritt of the original and transfer it to the page via Andy Kubert.
Speaking of Kubert, good lord this is some of his best work in a while. There is a reverence to his drawing as he pays tribute to Frank Miller while at the same time adding his own unique spin to this universe.
I had a blast reading this, which is more than I expected to be honest. Highly recommended to anyone who has read the original.

It is a book for Frank Miller´s fans to see how other artists see the characters he developed but mostly focused on Batman. It really shows how DC created a huge variant cover program—over 50 alternative covers produced by an all-star roster of artists, from veteran industry legends to rising stars. All in a hard cover edition that enhances the value of the art display along the pages of the book.

This is exactly what you expect. The covers from Batman the Dark Knight. Basically the only text is labels so you know what cover/art you are looking at.

Very interesting, some of the art was a bit weird though. It was nice to look through. Other characters were cool too.
