About the author

Todd Dezago is an American comic book writer. He is best known for his collaborations with penciller Mike Wieringo on The Sensational Spider-Man (1996) and their creator-owned fantasy series Tellos, which premiered in 1999, as well as for co-creating Young Justice with artist Todd Nauck in the 1998 oneshot Young Justice: The Secret. His other Young Justice work includes the 1998 miniseries JLA: World Without Grown-ups. From 1999 to 2002 Dezago also wrote Impulse #50-89. In 2005 he co-created The Perhapanauts with artist Craig Rousseau.

Meant more for younger readers, but if you pick it up as an adult, there's still enjoyment to be found. It was a nice "power down" read: I didn't have to worry about continuity or remembering anything that happened once I closed the book. It was short, sweet, and fun. And sometimes, that's all you want in a book: An excuse to go on a Spider-adventure. I enjoyed the Fantastic Four team-up (mostly because Johnny Storm and Spidey's friendship amuses me) and the one with the Hulk (where Spidey and Marvel girl were trying to keep Bruce Banner as calm as possible to avoid a hulk-out). It definitely made me chuckle while reading it.

These were decent but inconsequential reads that at times defy continuity. If it weren't available in the cheap-o digest format I wouldn't even bother with this title.

This was just OK. These stories felt more like rejected stories than like added gems. They were mostly pretty predictable and the art was strange on a couple. The Hulk/Marvel Girl/Spider-Man story was cute but didn't fit in with how the characters have been established in the past.
