How does Jesus live in my heart? What does it look like to have a personal relationship with Jesus? Can I actually do what Jesus did when He walked the Earth? In Michael Koulianos’ landmark book, prepare to experience Jesus Christ at a whole new dimension—through the person, presence, and power of the Holy Spirit. Through this revolutionary teaching, learn If you want to enjoy a personal, dynamic, and supernatural relationship with the Son of God, you must discover how to partner with Jesus and the Holy Spirit!
"The culture of heaven becomes a reality to us as we discover the treasures of His Word. Authority is birthed in certain arenas because we see His ways clearly. Remember, a person is meant to be known, while a person's ways can be understood. It's like this: Wisdom sees the entire picture, the end from the beginning. Understanding helps us with the journey. Great visionaries often see Z from A due to wisdom flowing. They still need understanding to connect the other twenty-four letters that bridge the process. When the mind is renewed by the Spirit, it is evidence that the Spirit of understanding is beginning to operate in us." (Michael Koulianos, Holy Spirit: The One Who Makes Jesus Real)
This is the first book that I have read by the author, Michael Koulianos. Some know him as the son in law of Benny Hinn. The author married Benny Hinn's daughter. However, this book is not about Benny Hinn (although the author does mention him on occasion), it is about the Person of the Holy Spirit.
I really liked the author's insights on the Trinity and how they are in relationship with one another: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He says that each member of the Trinity points to each other; that "the Trinity is not a board of directors in Heaven, trying their best to fix the world's problems. No! They love one another deeply and are in covenant with themselves. It is their deepest joy to reveal each member of the Trinity to us."
Some of the topics covered in this book include: ● The Holy Spirit's favourite subject ● How the Holy Spirit is a Spirit of Prayer ● How the Holy Spirit is our Comforter ● The Holy Spirit is a Sevenfold Spirit as recorded in Isaiah 11:2: 1. The Spirit of the Lord; 2. The Spirit of Wisdom; 3. The Spirit of Understanding; 4. The Spirit of Knowledge; 5. The Spirit of Counsel; 6. The Spirit of Might; 7. The Spirit of The Fear of the LORD ● The difference between the presence and power of the Holy Spirit ● And so much more!
The key message in this book, and as the title indicates: the Holy Spirit comes to make Jesus real to us. He [The Holy Spirit] makes Jesus real to us by transforming our lives and the lives of others, winning souls, signs, wonders, healings, deliverances and so much more!
If you are looking for a Biblical study of the person and work of the Holy Spirit, look elsewhere. There are many excellent books on that subject but this isn't one of them. If you're looking for the story of a man's experience with the Holy Spirit, and stories of his interactions and conversations with well-known Spirit-filled pastors and leaders - you'll enjoy this book. I appreciate Michael's heart after God and His passion for the work of the Holy Spirit in his life and his heart-felt desire to share his faith with others by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This was an okay book. The author made some good points about the role the Holy Spirit plays in our lives and I enjoyed some of his testimonies of the work of the Holy Spirit in the author's own ministry. However, I found some of his testimonies to be very vague when describing his experiences (like he felt electricity, what does this language mean??) and not helpful in helping someone (i.e like myself) come to a place of seeing the Holy Spirit working in their own lives.
I enjoyed reading this book and took away some excellent points / explanations and of course Scripture. It was ripe with Scripture about the Holy Spirit which I greatly enjoyed. I also thoroughly enjoyed Michael's passion for the Trinity and especially the Holy Spirit. It was a blessing to hear the strength of his faith - I wish more people would spend time reading books like this and spend less time in the world. I pray for those who are still grappling with having any kind of faith and I pray that the Holy Spirit grabs ahold of them and leads them to the Lord before their last breath. Blessings to all of you who are spending your time in the Word.
I have read this book now three times, and each time the Holy Spirit reveals more to me. It is packed with Scriptures, and revelation from God. Pastor Michael shares his history and wisdom bestowed to the reader about who the Holy Spirit is. As a Person, His role in the Godhead. This book leaves your spirit stirred and empowered. Scripture is infallible and does not return void. Pastor Michael shares knowledge, testimonies, and the Word of God. This is a must read.
HE has a life for each of us. All planned out. Ephesians 2:10. Spend time with Him. Listen to Him. Talk with Him. Breathe Him in. Then let Him out. To everyone in the world.
Again, Michael Koulianos has such an anointing. His book Holy Spirit has changed my life. It is such a beautiful book and I urge you to read this and check out Jesus Image. You will be forever changed by Jesus himself.
This book is extremely easy to read. The language is simple, so sometimes it’s hard not to get bored of his verbiage. But it has massively empowered me to see the workings of the Holy Spirit as more real in my everyday life and encouraged me to share the nature of the true Spirit of Jesus.
I highly recommend this book for insights to enrich your relationship with Holy Spirit. I enjoyed the simplicity and clarity of the instructions provided. Thank you Michael.
This book was "cover to cover" blessings for me! Literally every page made me want to praise God and delve deeper into the Holy Spirit! Michael is so transparent, so real about his shortcomings and struggles. His honesty leads the reader to give glory to the One who works powerfully in imperfect vessels! I was sorry to see this book end because each chapter is so sweet! I encourage every believer to read it expectantly!
