The stories are average and hastily done with although there is some moral and teaching coming out of every tale. There are numerous stories under the title of Vikram and Baitaal originally. King Vikramaditya kept chasing Baitaal whole night and answered his questions correctly every time. Baitaal got pleased with the courage and determination of the righteous king and finally revealed to him the wicked tantrik's evil plot who actually wanted to kill the king. King Vikramaditya as advised by the Baitaal went to the tantrik with the corpse. When tantrik cunningly asked him to be a part in some rituals, the alert king pulling his sword killed him there only. In this way gaining the power and blessings of Baitaal, the righteous king ruled his kingdom for many years to come.

These stories take me, the reader, down memory lane. Because The Tales of Vikram and Betaal are stories that were told to me as bedtime tales first, and then when I was older, I gorged on them from books borrowed from the library. I liked the illustrations accompanying the stories, and they were quick and fun to read. But I found many places where a bit of editing could have made it better. Both children and elders would enjoy the tales. An hour's read. Not more.

Problem with kindle version

Pages are not getting loaded.
Showing blank pages in kindle version☹. Many stories are incomplete because of the blank pages.

Return to childhood

Goodness of indian culture. How the children were taught morals and wisdom of right and wrong once upon a time. Sadly seems to be lost in new gen.

Nice

Nice books for kids and young Indians who are now these days more on Games of throne rather than Vikramaditya throne. Short, sharp and wisdom full story of Vikram and Betaal..

I always wanted to read this

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to read this collection. However this one didn't contain the couple of stray stories I read in Hindi newspapers a long time ago. Even so, it was fun.

My Opinion of Vikram and Betaal!

It was an interesting book because it shows how much wisdom is needed to be a great king like King Vikramaditya. It also shows how much stories Betaal knows. I rate this book FIVE STARS!!!!!! By Adhvik Balaji

In this book, there are many stories that Betaal (the ghost) tells to Vikram and there are very good questions which Betaal asks Vikramaditya. Finally, the ghost surrendered to Vikramaditya.

There is literally no story as good as Beetal and Vikram. They are and will be famous forever. Their tales have something unique in them. That nostalgia, that truthiness and fun all above.

Though I already read all these stories in my childhood, reading this book was refreshing and nostalgic at the same time. Thanks to the creator.
