Promenant sa silhouette efflanquée et sa blanche chevelure partout où l'inexplicable règne en maître, Rork est une sorte d'enquêteur du paranormal. Evoluant entre les mondes au gré des passages, il lui arrive d'y laisser des morceaux de lui-même. Commence alors le chemin d'une lente reconstruction, rythmée par les découpages novateurs d'Andreas. Cette intégrale réunit la nouvelle préquelle (T0 : Les fantômes), les trois premiers tomes de la série originale (T1 : Fragments, T2 : Passages, T3 : Le cimetière des cathédrales), deux histoires courtes ainsi qu'un dossier spécial sur l'univers du personnage, et sur l'auteur Andreas.

Myślę, że jakiej głupoty by tu Andreas nie wcisnął i jak bardzo byłby niekonsekwentny fabularnie, "Rork" i tak będzie cieszył. Zresztą sama koncepcja przemieszczania się między światami zakłada tajemnice i luki, jakie są w stanie wytłumaczyć różne niekonsekwencje tych historii, więc rozwiązanie całkiem cwane. Jak na ramotkę czyta się świetnie, bo całość raczej dynamiczna i uciekająca przed zamulaniem. To się tyczy też grafiki, która momentami zachwyca precyzją, a często zaskakuje kadrowaniem. Przyjemność lektury - dosłownie.

El dibujo es espectacular, sobretodo en las historias más recientes que se publicaron ya entrados en este milenio. El conjunto adolece de falta de consistencia, con personajes que entran y salen y un hilo conductor entre historias que cuesta acabar de encontrar. Al fin y al cabo, Rork nació en publicaciones periódicas y tardó su tiempo en asentarse, por lo que debía ser complicado en la década de los ochenta pensar en arcos narrativos y evoluciones de personajes más complejos.

The arts was interesting and beautiful, but the story was way too slow for my liking, I like my comic book to be more fast pace and more action, this is a really slow one, if you don,t mind that style, you may want to take a look at it, but it was definitely not for me!

"Rork" to dla mnie bardzo ważna seria. To między innymi dzięki dwóm pierwszym częścią ("Fragmenty" i "Przejścia") publikowanym jeszcze w "Komiks-Fantastyce" w 1989, pokochałem fantastykę i komiks, a za to doświadczenie formacyjne "Rork" będzie miał zawsze szczególne miejsce w moim sercu. O ile stale zachwyca mnie dbałość o szczegóły i prowadzenie narracji w rysunkach Andreasa, to niestety z biegiem lat część opowieści nie zachwyca już tak jak kiedyś.
Na 4 gwiazdki dla całego integralu trochę podciągam za znakomite rysunki i bardzo zgrabne połączenie w drugim tomie krótkich opowiastek z pierwszego tomu.

What can I say? Graphically and wrt scenario complexity an absolute masterpiece. Can't wait for the second volume in 2013 to finally have the full story, as up to now I only had 1 album and some memories from reading fragments (no pun intended) of what is in this first volume. Amazing work!
