Kobus Moolman teaches creative writing at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban.

He has published four collections of poetry: Time like Stone (2000), awarded the Ingrid Jonker Prize for 2001, 5 Poetry (2001), with four other South African poets, Feet of the Sky (2003), and Separating the Seas (2007). He has also published a collection of radio plays, titled Blind Voices (2007, published by Botsotso).

His play, Full Circle, was awarded the Jury Prize at the Performing Arts Network of South Africa Festival of New Writing in 2004. The play has been performed at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, the Market Theatre in Johannesburg and the Oval House Theatre in London. The play has been published by Dye Hard Press.

Kobus is married to Julia Buss, and lives in Pietermaritzburg.
