The Unspoken Rules of Love What Women Don't Know and Men Don't Tell You

Rate this book
Why does the modern-day search for romance so often end in disappointment– especially for women? Is it something women do? Something they don’t do? Are women missing important information about the opposite sex–or about themselves? Is there something wrong with them that they long so desperately for “’til death do us part”?

Sadly, many women today see their ongoing singleness as a weakness or lack of worth. In truth, women’s dreams go unfulfilled not because they do not deserve for them to come true, but often because of wrong assumptions–assumptions that can be corrected by learning a few key truths. In The Unspoken Rules of Love, authors Michelle McKinney Hammond and Joel Brooks seek to clear up these misperceptions, giving women the information they need to succeed in long-term, lasting male-female relationships and teaching them how to find satisfaction, value, and fulfillment in their relationship with God, both while they wait and after the wait is over.

Drawing on both the perspectives of its male and female authors, this book deals with the hard issues and the questions women ponder as they consider the dilemma of how to obtain lasting love. The Unspoken Rules of Love will help women adjust their desires, redefine what they are attracted to, set their values in order, and determine their goals–freeing them at last to pursue the loving relationships they desire.

4. Pursuit is the evidence of someone’s desire.

5. When the right man comes along, God will lead him to your door.

7. The woman who sets her heart upon God and plants herself in God’s word will always be fruitful.

8. If you give your heart to God, He will protect it.

14. When it’s love, waiting won’t seem long or unreasonable.

15. Love is worth waiting for.

CONTENT:
For the first pages of the book, it was a bit boring because it was just too generic and humorless. However, as you go along, you’ll find yourself on the hook to the book because it’s becoming more specific in dealing with your man. In addition to that, it’s drawn from a male and female’s perspective. I would go for books like that since there are no assumptions from the men’s point of view. Lastly, the preeminent content of the book is taken from the bible.

PRICE:
To obtain that long lasting love, get your 225 pesos from your wallet!! LOL

RATING:
7 over 10 bookmarks.
-Uninviting and dull front cover
-Too serious but substantial content
-Justifiable price

Her Gifts & Purpose are superbly presented in every work she's written and every show and event she's done. I went to one of her speaking/book signing events and hearing her speaking voice made all of her books seem Audible! Her "Spoken Word" segments are sooo verrry moving, passionate, funny, and Always richly thought provoking.
Saw Joel at a separate Speaking/signing event for this book and he brought the Male perspective, ALIVE! That's something I'd always been missing and proves to be priceless even today…and I'm an old married lady!

Great to read both male and female perspectives. This is helpful to me.

The most important take aways: being whole and patient. This book thoroughly details the need to be healthy emotionally; the vetting process for both sexes; and, the spiritual marriage purpose.

Many hidden gems sprinkled throughout.

And, dating is so to collect data.
