I don't particularly like 2nd chance romances, but the fact that the heroine wasn't celibate during separation saved this book for me.
I almost skipped their past, so the rating is more for the present story.
Likable heroine, the hero was ok.
Liked h's arrangement with her ex about their daughter.
Cute epilogue.

This was my first book by Riann Miller and I enjoyed it very much, I really liked her writing style.
Jet was so perfect beyond the exterior he shows to the world he knows exactly why woman fawn over him and even though he's a playboy he's so much more. The day Jet meets Rachel he knows he found someone special, only he doesn't realize it was all a set up to use him to get what she needs.
The more Rachel is around Jet the more she is terrified of the fallout that's inevitable when he finds out her initial motives, all she wants now is to protect him but it's to late, when Jet finds out what she did he breaks up with her.
This was a sweet and touching second chance love story. It gave a lot of the past then current so you know exactly what happened the first time around. There's a lot of twists and turns in this book that keep you very engaged in the story.

This book is a definite page turner and once you start it is impossible to put down. Jet and Rachel are incredible together although their journey wasn't all

Jet was brought up as an only child and raised by his father alone, he had a stable life, unconditional love and luxury thanks to his fathers wealth but he remained a decent, caring person with goals and ambitions....
Jet and Rachel were brought together by blackmail but through this they found each other only to lose it all too soon.
I loved the journey Riann took me on in this book, there were moments when I wanted to reach through the book and throttle Jet for his actions and decisions even though I understood why he acted the way he did and my heart broke for Rachel, she is such a caring loving person who has a heart of gold and only deserves the best life can offer.
This is an absolute MUST READ and would recommend this book to everyone!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

I love second chance stories.
Jet life isn't easy and isn't either when he meets Rachel, he's instantly attracted to her. She really isn't like all the other girls he's dated and he falls hard.
Rachel falls for Jet just as much, but when secrets are revealed it tears them apart. However no matter how many years pass they can't forget each other because sometimes a chance encounter could be more.
This book is full of twists, turns and secrets that could rip Jet and Rachel apart or will all be revealed out in the open and the two can move onto their HEA, because you can't help but root for Jet and Rachel and hope their second chance is their last.
I received an ARC in return for my honest opinion.

I fell in love with Jet McKenzie and Rachel Ashmore, and the way their story developed. It was so enduring to see how their relationship goes through it's trails and turbulations, and end in this amazing space. What a beautifully written story!! I loved it and urge you to read it!! I received a review copy.

3 Cranky Stars
This is the first book that I have read by Author Riann C. Miller. It centers around:
Jett is a sexy, Alpha, rich male that can melt the panties right off of a woman. He's learned the hard way that most women only want him for his money and prestige. It makes it difficult for him to find someone who wants to get to know the real Jett.
Rachel is beautiful, care free, kind, and loves life. Unfortunately, her family is dysfunctional in a very unhealthy way. Jett meets Rachel and falls hard for her. Rachel has secrets that she can't share with Jett, which cause them to go their separate ways.
Years later, they meet by coincidence and the sparks are still there. Jett is determined to find out the truth, but Rachel has other obligations that might keep them apart.
I have to admit it: I love second chance romances, but it took me awhile to get into the book. In the beginning, it was a real struggle to keep my interest. The book picks up the pace about a fourth of the way through where I started to really enjoy the storyline and the characters. In fact, I stayed awake to finish it.
I can only give this book 3 stars because it was just an okay read to me. I'm all for the slow burn, but the front seemed to drag for too long. I think it's important that you get your readers' attention in the first few pages so they are wanting to read more. I felt like the storyline could have flowed better and it felt rushed in parts.
This book has great potential. If the author trimmed the front to hook the reader at the beginning, I would have rated it much higher.

Damaged Love is just one of those books. It grabs ahold of your feels & doesn't let go. It is a stunning story about love, lies, deceit, and second chances. I was hooked from page one-- I bet you will be too!
"For years I told myself I was missing closure, but now I know I was just missing you."
I need y'all to know - Jet was just so good. He was all of the things we readers love in an H and then some. What stood out the most to me was his kindness. His compassion and his empathy. <3
They go through so much together y'all. At times I wanted to throw my dang kindle! At other times I wanted to throttle them & shake some sense into them! All the feels, okay?
There is so much more I want to tell y'all, but you need to read it for yourself. You will seriously sit back and say "Whoa. Didn't see that coming!", and you'll say it more than once! <3 One click it, ASAP!!

4 second chance stars!! What a beautiful story of second chances!!
The beginning love story was a mystery and so great at the same time. Jet is one fantastic man! Later came the story of second chance romance. With some twists and turns this makes for a beautiful love story.
I truly love that Jet is so open, loyal and loving with everything he does. And he treated Rachel and Alana like queens!! Rachel has been through the ringer. Though she doesn't tell he secrets you can tell at the beg of the book this girl has ghosts.
Very well written book with incredible characters!

wow this book was awesome! its about woman who in the start sets up this guy for her father to get important information. only to end up having true feelings for him. they break up when he finds out and meet years later to try to start another relationship. its sad what her brother did to her! thanks for giving me a chance to read this book!

This was a good book. A real page turner. I was so glad to get Jet's story. Jet is a great guy who has trust issues with women. It's understandable seeing that most women see dollar signs when they found out he comes from money. His love interest comes from a damaged family but it makes her interesting. The life that they share is such a beautiful modern family. Ms. Miller never disappoints.

I've always been a huge fan of Riann C Miller's books. this one took me a few chapters to really get into it, but once I did I fell in love with the characters as she always manages to make me do. Just the right amount of drama, sweetness, and steam. Loved it.

i love Jet & Rachel!!! Riann has done it again with another fantastic read. I am a sucker for second chance romance reads.
Jet is not your typical playboy, hes a good man whose loyal and has a heart of gold. But because of who he is and who his family is hes guarded. Hes learned because of the money that people usually just want something from him once they find out.
Rachel's life hasn't been easy but shes a strong female that you will love. But she has secrets and some decisions shes made have left her filled with regret.
Rachel and Jet met at a younger age and had an instant connection. Rachel didn't treat him like other women that have been in his life. but life happens and they both went their different ways. Now years later they meet again and the connection they have is still very much there now as it was before. But they are both keeping things from one another.
The journey Rachel and Jet take is not an easy one and it will tear your heart apart while you are reading. Rainn gives you just the right amount of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more and more page after page.

I was afforded a rare privilege recently, my first chance to read a work by Riann C. Miller. I absolutely fell in love with her characters Rachel and Jet. I was concerned with their young ages at first but just wait until you see the incredible, emotional journey she takes you on with these two. Jet is not into dating, most women see his last name and see the dollar signs that are associated with his father's company. Rachel is the complete opposite. On her own at 18, but something very mysterious, almost sinister hanging over her head. The pull between these two feel from the start is so strong but they have to go through their trials as do most young couples. I will definitely be reading more from Riann! I loved Jet and Rachel. I really enjoy a second chance story. Riann did not disappoint. I felt for Jet when he found out why she did what she did. And then I really felt for Rachel as everything was revealed. I am so glad they found their way back to each other even after so many years. Riann did a great job with this book! Can't wait for the next one!

I thoroughly enjoy a book that spans the years and this book delivers. I've never read any of this author's work before, but I wouldn't hesitate to read another. This story is a standalone and finishes off perfectly.
I really liked Jet's personality, he is no playboy! He is very guarded where his love life is concerned and when he falls he gives his all. You have to earn his trust and not be after his money. I loved Jet's Dad and Rachel's brother Russ too; there are characters to love, and characters to loathe and despise too. It is a fantastic page turner story with a lot of drama too.
This book is in two parts really, part one is when Jet and Rachel meet and the other is fourteen years later. There are lots of different emotions involved in their story: secrets and half-truths that weigh them down. I really loved this story. There is plenty to keep you reading, waiting for the next moment of heartbreak or joy. It could go either way with these two.

This was the first book I've read by Ms. Miller and I was blown away. I can't say enough about her writing style. I loved Jet and Rachel.
Jet was driven and focused, from the age of 19 he knew what he wanted out of life. He lived in Malibu and his father had a lot of money but he never let it affect him. Most of his friends were sleeping around but he didn't sleep with women if he didn't trust them. Then everything changed with the meeting of a woman outside of a restaurant. A chance encounter flipped everything on its head.
Rachel has had a challenging life, a bi-polar mother and a father and brother that are evil. Her only saving grace was her other brother, Russ who kept her sane. That was until she met Jet. He gives her a little slice of happiness but she knows that will all come crashing down once her secrets are revealed.
Her secrets are exposed and her blossoming relationship falls apart. But then they meet years later and Rachel is hesitant that Jet is okay with what happened and he just wants to move on. Can Rachel get over her insecurities about not being good enough? Can Jet trust Rachel again?
I highly recommend this book! If you love second chance romances this is the book for you. I will be reading more of Ms. Miller.

Five Emotional Stars! Jet is very cautious when it comes to dating, because most women want to date him for his father's money. Jet has a healthy relationship with his family. Rachel has been living on her own since she was 18 and she grew up in a dysfunctional family. Rachel has secrets that will ruin any relationship. When Rachel and Jet meet they are both attracted to one another but one lie tears them apart. We then go ahead 14 years later and Jet and Rachel meet again but they have never gotten over each other. Will Jack and Rachel be able to start over and trust in one another to have the relationship they so want? I was pulled in from the very first chapter and never wanted the book to end. This was a well-written beautiful love story with twists and turns that kept you hoping for a happily ever after. I was attached to the characters and felt their emotions as I read through the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommended it! I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Miller.

Damaged Love is a second chance romance that has Jet and Rachel meeting each other in a unique way. It starts off with quite a bang and has your blood pumping pretty quickly. Unfortunately for me I found after the first encounter in the opening scene things taper off and I found the story dragged a little too much at the beginning and found it difficult to hold my interest for quite awhile.
It isn’t until about the 40% mark where things start to pick up and the story started to draw me in. Of course as this is a second chance romance things go south for both Jet and Rachel. The circumstances surrounding how will definitely peak your interest and compel you to continue reading.
They end up meeting again years later and the feelings are still there but life is complicated and so we watch as they navigate through that to see if they can be together. I think for the most part this was an enjoyable read however for me I like for books to grip me from the get go and this unfortunately didn't.
It isn’t until about the 40% mark where things start to pick up and the story started to draw me in. Of course as this is a second chance romance things go south for both Jet and Rachel. The circumstances surrounding how will definitely peak your interest and compel you to continue reading.
They end up meeting again years later and the feelings are still there but life is complicated and so we watch as they navigate through that to see if they can be together. I think for the most part this was an enjoyable read however for me I like for books to grip me from the get go and this unfortunately didn't.

Damaged love follows Jet and Rachel's story. Told mostly from Jets POV we follow them both through their late teenage years. A chance meeting outside a building throws the pair together and Jet quickly falls for Rachel even though she is far from any other girl he has dated. But when he discovers Rachel has been lying to him he leaves before she gets chance to explain.
14 years later the pair meet again as if fate intended and they quickly remember why they fell for each other when they were younger. Will Jet be able to accommodate Rachel's situation now they are older and will she be able to let her walls down and finally tell him the truth? I'll let you find out for yourself.
This author is one I have read before and I love all her work. This one I loved just as much. The writing flows and the pace is great. Just when you think there maybe a twist on the way, there is but not the one you imagine! I throughly recommend this to anyone looking for a great next read.

Nothing better than a good second chance romance and this one didn't disappoint.
Jet and Rachel relationship started very slow. The author took her time letting the readers see how their relationship was developed. Even though it was really slow at least it wasn't too rushed. They got to know each other, fell in love and then something terrible happened which separated Jet and Rachel.
Fast forward 14 years and they found each other again. Their reunion was funny and beautiful all wrapped up in one. After all those years, the flame was never out and they picked up from where they left off.
Jet wasn't your typical hero Manwhore which is always refreshing that had such a genuine heart and a good head on his shoulder with great family values. Rachel was a beautiful woman that was broken and had lots of bad things happen to her in her life. Jet was her safe place.

I was afforded a rare privilege recently, my first chance to read a work by Riann C. Miller. I absolutely fell in love with her characters Rachel and Jet. I was concerned with their young ages at first but just wait until you see the incredible, emotional journey she takes you on with these two. Jet is not into dating, most women see his last name and see the dollar signs that are associated with his father's company. Rachel is the complete opposite. On her own at 18, but something very mysterious, almost sinister hanging over her head. The pull between these two feel from the start is so strong but they have to go through their trials as do most young couples. I will definitely be reading more from Riann! I have become a huge fan of Riann C. Miller so I was beyond thrilled to read Damaged Love. I instantly fell in love with both Jet and Rachel. It was so refreshing to have a character like Jet who was so sweet, loving, and had real reactions to situations. He wasn't overly cocky but he wasn't a pushover either. He was the perfect book boyfriend. And what a great heroine Rachel was. She had faced much difficulty in her life but instead of being whiny or looking for a man to solve all her problems she became a strong but still kind adult.
This book was an absolutely beautiful love story and I'm so happy I read it. If you are looking for something that will have you feeling deeply but ultimately lift your spirits than this is the perfect book for you.

Wow!!! I loved this second chance romance
Jet and Rachel love story was built on a chance meeting that changed both of there lives. Jet has trust issues, Rachel has had a bad childhood so she keeps alot of hurt and pain held inside.
It's an emotional Roller coaster that you wanna take with these characters!!! You will just about be able to guess what Rachel has went through, but you will find out closer to the end the true pain she has had to endure.
This was my first book by Riann C. Miller and let me tell you I truly loved this book , couldn't put it down. A true page turner!!!

I couldn't put this book down! What an amazing story! Jet is 19 years old,rich & skeptical of any girl he meets. Until he meets Rachael while he is out on a bad date. He saves her while she's being attacked. He can't seem to forget about her. Runs into her from there & things move faster than they both expect,until things in their lives make them split up. Fast forward to several years later. And fate brings them back together with some major curveballs!! Their story is about young love,adult love,forgiveness & happiness....

I am so glad I was given an opportunity to read this book.
Jet lived his life guarded when it came to the people around him. Few close friends and didn't look for girlfriends.
Rachel lived on her own and went to school.
The story is about their lives and the people in them and what happens to them over the years. Do they get together? Read the book and find out. I promise you will not be disappointed in this book. I did not want to put it down.
