I actually read the latest version of this novel as a play by Douglas Post which came out through Dramatic Publishing in 2025. It is not even available via Goodreads searches yet so I used this older version to add it to my collection. I hope Goodreads will pick it up and add it soon.
Post’s adaptation is excellent and would stage fairly easily. I was impressed with how true he stayed to the novel. I think Huxley would’ve approved of it too!

An interesting adaptation, and worth reading (or seeing), but there's no substitution for reading the original book. I recommend doing so first, and then reading this play. That way, you'll have a more solid base upon which to form your own opinion about how effective the play is.
