Rate this book
Morgan Steer and Tom Marchant are a handsome, charming pair; each intent on marrying money. Hunting side by side, they trawl the London social scene, moving from one rich girl to the next.

But while Tom revels in the endless series of women, Morgan cannot forget his first love, Caroline Barstow, now married to someone else. It is with resigned desperation that he proposes to the icy, wealthy Chloe Post and takes her up to Northumberland to meet his family. Here, intense passions are rekindled, old jealousies are sparked and a steely determination sets in.
