When Kate asked Nick to pretend to be her escort at a wedding, he reluctantly agreed. To his surprise the pretense came easily, and suddenly he could barely control the passion that Kate was igniting in him.
But the heat of the moment was followed by the cold light of day. Had they gone against better judgment at the cost of friendship, or had they finally found what they had both been looking for in just one hot, sultry night?
Do Not Disturb: Anything can happen behind closed doors!
Kathryn Ross is a professional beauty therapist, but writing is her first love. At thirteen she was editor of her school magazine and wrote a play for a competition, and won. Ten years later she was accepted by Mills & Boon, who were the only publishers she ever approached with her work. Kathryn lives in Lancashire, is married and has inherited two delightful stepsons. She has written over twenty novels now and is still as much in love with writing as ever and never plans to stop.
When Kate goes home and finds her boyfriend in bed with another woman, she is devastated and turns to her long time best friend Nick. Nick is in love with Katy, he has tried everything to get her attention and support her but no more, he's going to make his move now. Kate didn't know she was in love with Nick until recently but she knows now and she's terrified of moving forward. Kate doesn't want to destroy her friendship with Nick cause losing him would kill her. Can they embrace their new relationship and work through it?
I didn't really care for this book. If I walked home and found my boyfriend in MY apartment and MY bed, he'd be walking funny for a year. Not to mention I'd grab the floozy's head of hair and toss her out the window or door naked and let her flounder. The book just seemed so unrealistic, she didn't even really get angry, just told him to leave. I was seriously disappointed. It's possible one of the least unemotional books harlequin has ever released. I was gobsmacked that it was just that bad!
The H and h have been friends since a long time. The h lives together with another man since two years and the H has just broken up with another woman.
The h finds her boyfriend in bed with another woman and she throws him out of the house. After that she realizes more and more how attractive the H is.
I found the h unsympathetic. A colleague of her is interested in him, so she takes that female to a coffee date she has with him without telling him first. And later on in that book she gives that female colleague the phone number of his home. I hate people who do that.
Also the h is not very nice to the H. She tells him that their one night of sex doesn’t mean anything and she keeps repeating to him how he is to other women. She is annoying AF.
Actually I would have liked the story better if the woman was virginal, but okay.
It’s a good read without major drama’s. Kathryn Ross is a good writer.
