Ocean related novels - This is a story about a Cape Cod fisherman who finds himself pitted against the mob that is controlling Fulton Fish Market, the market that dominates the fishing scene on the East Coast. The syndicate and its many tributaries are pitiless, sophisticated and ubiquitous. Our hero sails through a sea of murder, mostly scooting, schooner-rigged in flight. What makes this caper different from all others is the author's evident expertise about fishing boats, the offshore sea lanes, the Cape and the Fulton Market, the arenas for the action that is packed between the covers. Better than the intricate and quite familiar superman escapades of the hero are the descriptions of the sea, the countryside, the Cape Cod fishing port and the fish streets of New York.
