Rogue could write about toilet paper and weed killer and I'm certain she'd still find a way to speak to my soul.

Wow

I'm a little bit heartbroken after this collection. I really invested in Rogue's painfully honest writing - she lays her heart on the line so how could I not?
Although this collection ends in tears and explores how fragile human really are in love, learning how to trust another, I would say this collection is of euphoria and love overwhelmingly.
There is a sense of escape in this love and it is told so exactly that the storyteller 's voice is unique and lovable.

I recently cleaned up my kindle and left only the books that I knew I had a real interest in. And since cleaning it up I had been itching violently to open it up and read this. I am so glad I did. It is packed with yearning and heart ache with a mix of happy moments. It hit me all too well given the current space my heart and head are in.

I finally shoved
my shitty suitcase
underneath
my bed.
I couldn’t
stand the sight
of it anymore.
I brushed
the sand off my knees.
I brushed the salt
off my cheek.
I didn’t want
to live my life
in shades of blue,
waiting for you.
I broke
my own heart.
I couldn’t stand the
suspense, waiting for you to.

I'm blown away by the raw deep emotions that this author has the power to evoke in me as a reader. If she writes it I will read it, it's taken me a while to get through my to be read list, but it was worth it. Her words spark my soul. The Sea & the view - my red converse & you.

A couple of really good poems, but unfortunately, most couldn't really capture me.

Good

Good collection of poems. Have seen better from her, was a quick and easy read. They were good but I’ve found her other collections more relatable and evoked more emotion

I’ve always loved JR Rogue’s poetry. This book is so evocative, like the life cycle of a relationship. I read it years ago and it had meant so much to me.

Heartache at its finest.

So achingly beautiful. I know exactly the feelings that she is talking about.
Her anger.
Her heartache.
Her longing.
Beautiful.

my first Jen Rogue's book of poetry. I knew I'd love it, but I never realized how much. This particular collection of poems deals a lot with long-distance relationships. And oh well, if you've been in one yourself, this fact puts an entirely different perspective on the whole reading process.
since then I've bought Jen's every single book and I'm looking forward to reading them and letting the words sink deep in my heart.

Diamonds are the best!

This new poetry collection of Rogue, will set your heart ablaze. Her words are so captivating, they'll leave you breathless. You'll want more, but the deeper you venture, the more difficult it gets to read. It's sad, happy, and all together what poetry should end up like! Rogue has ripped my heart once again, to you, I raise my glass.... you're the best, keep it up!

Every book of poems that Rogue releases is somehow better than the next. This is easily one of my favorites by her. The rawness of her words and thoughts, inked onto paper really evokes some feelings out of me. I can't think of a single poem in this collection that I didn't love. Another win for Rogue and a welcome addition to my favorites shelf.

Amphetamine. This book was definitely a mood-altering drug. I felt the pain, I felt the joy, I felt the love, I felt the loss. It was a high and a low and I will be reading it all over again. I very much recommend reading one of today's Greats, J.R. Rouge.

This was actually better than the other work of the author that I've read (Tell Me Where It Hurts). I could relate to some of the poems especially the 29th poem. That one hit me the most.

This little book of fifty poems brought back all the memories of a new relationship. The love, longing, desire, pain. Fantastic. Probably my favorite so far!

Beautiful words that take you on an emotional roller coaster. Some moments are full of romance and others full of sadness. As always J.R. Rogue never disappoints. This is definitely a must read!

The poems talked of love and heartbreak. I loved the imagery. Though, the romantic parts aren't for me. I think a couple pieces were about anxiety. Some of the other pieces inspired me.

I understand why the first half was necessary, it was to set up for the heartbreak of the second half, but I still found myself wishing for more of the second half and less of the first. It was still very evocative.
The only reason I knocked a star off was because it was so short. 57 pages. I felt like there should have been a bit more book for what I payed, but maybe that's unfair, I don't know.
