This book covers a wide range of subjects, from opals & diamonds, to the Germany imperial crown, lithotherapy (medical treatment using precious stones), the Amber Room, and Faberge eggs, among many other things. Each chapter is either 2 or 4 pages long with good color pictures & good descriptions and history. It's translated from German. As usual, the only thing wrong is it's not long enough or with enough pictures.
