Bodyguard Bear
I own this whole series!

This is the first book in this series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.

Zoe Chant’s books are fast becoming my standard for picking a book that I can finish in one setting. Her books always leave me feeling happy with my heart warmed.

Ellie is a paramedic with integrity who is insanely brave. Hal is a bear who takes his job seriously and his mate even more so! This story was action packed and as always I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!

Defender Dragon
This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. While it isn’t mandatory for you to read the series in order, I recommend it because you will miss out on the character dynamics and patterns if you don’t!

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. I thought I was going to be disappointed because Lucas left town, but I was so very wrong. I really connected with Journey and love her spirit! And of course Lucas is a dragon prince…what!! All sorts of intrigue and treachery to keep you fully engaged and pulled into the story. This was an awesome story that in Zoe’s usual fashion warmed my heart and left my feeling happy!

Protector Panther
This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is my favorite of the series so far. This series is for adults only due to the steamy content. I highly recommend reading all the books in order to get the full experience and character building! You will miss out by not doing so!

The action started on the first page and never stopped. I wasn’t sure I would like Shane because he seemed off-putting in the other books. This was definitely not an issue. Shane is a rock star and one of my favs. I knew I like Catalina from the first book with Ellie because they are both pretty cool. Catalina is like a superhero from the beginning and awesome. I loved every second of this book! I don’t want to give anything away, so you need to read it to see what happens.

I love Zoe Chant’s books because they always have action and romance that just makes me happy. I’m a sap for a happy ending!

I highly recommend this book and the whole series to all the shifter fans especially if you already love Zoe’s books! If you have tried reading any of her books, you need to because you won’t be disappointed.

First story, pretty good, kind of insta-love but ok. Hal was my favorite, what a snuggle bunny.
Second story- way too fast insta-love and the story was a bit much. I love a good fantasy but this felt smashed together. The Dragon felt less snuggly.
Third story, the hero made some semblance of trying to fend off the insta-love but no!
They were locked in the same cell- awfully convenient- and then a rushed adventure. The panther even less snugglier (is that a word?).
They kind of flowed together but I don't see myself continuing the series.

It's the reason I became a loyal fan and why I purchase every single book she publishes. The comments below are a compilation of my original reviews for each individual book.
1)Bodyguard Bear
My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING STARS*****
Wow! Color me impressed! Where in the world has this author been hiding? Chant is a remarkably talented author; I can't believe I haven't heard of her before now! This may have been my first time reading Zoe Chant's work but it certainly won't be my last! This story grabbed my attention right out of the gate and held my interest completely from beginning to end! The narrative is extremely well well written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. The dialogue is smart, snappy, well executed and flows effortlessly. The entire book is well crafted and exceptionally well edited. The characters are captivating, intriguing, engaging, endearing and most definitely swoon-worthy. The story is exciting, fast-paced, action-filled, seductive and romantic. And did I mention hot? No? Well, it's hot! Chant skillfully combines these elements into a delightfully entertaining paranormal romance filled to the brim with heart-stopping danger, spine-tingling suspense, heart-pounding adventure, heated attraction, fiery passion, sweet romance, a dash of humor and a little old-fashioned bear bonding. What didn't I love about this story? Not a darn thing!
Bear shifter and former Navy Seal Hal Brennan is satisfied with his life. Unfortunately, his parents are not! They don't like him living in the city. They want him to return home and provide them with a few grandcubs. Huh? But in order to do that, he would have to find his mate; something he has no intention of doing. Nope! No mate for him! He has everything he needs: his own security/protection agency and a great team of shifters who are as close as his own family. He's happy with things just the way they are. He doesn't need a woman to tie him down - or so he thought. Fortunately, he didn't need to search for his mate- she just found him! She's his next job! What? Yep, you guessed it! The woman he needs to protect is his mate! Oh my! And his bear fully intends to claim her - that is after he breaks the news that he's a bear shifter! Oh, and if he can keep her alive! Oh my goodness!
Beautiful paramedic Ellie McNeil is definitely having a bad day or rather a bad night. Working the graveyard shift is always hard but working on very little sleep, only makes it more difficult. Unfortunately, the attempt on her life and the murder she just witnessed in the alley while responding to a call certainly doesn't help! And, as if things couldn't get any worse, she learns that one of the two men she saw committing the crime was none other than the Godfather of the crime world in Santa Martina. Huh? Oh my! Could her life get any more complicated? Yes, it could - it really could! In order to stay alive long enough to testify, she would now need around the clock protection - a bodyguard. What? But after seeing her new bodyguard, Ellie can't help but wonder who would protect her from him? Or maybe that should be reversed? Maybe, someone should protect him from her! After all, it's been way over a year since she's had sex but the hot, sexy bodyguard would never be interested in a curvy girl like her, would he? We'll see! Handsome former Navy Seal bear shifter hired to protect an important witness who turns out to be his mate-check! Beautiful, curvaceous, courageous paramedic who puts her life on the line to testify against a mob boss-check! A large cast of fascinating characters-check! Danger, drama, suspense, betrayal and several assassination attempts-check! Sweet romance and dreamy sex-you bet! That and a whole more! This is a standalone novella with a wonderfully sweet happy ever after ending. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Wow! Another home run! Zoe Chant continues the thrilling fast-paced adventure with Defender Dragon, the second release in her brand new Protector, Inc Series and I'm still impressed! I'm now officially a fan! Although each release is a standalone novella featuring a different member of the Protector, Inc team, I would highly recommend at least reading the first book, Bodyguard Bear, since it introduces the large cast comprising the Protector, Inc employees and sets up the premise for the entire series. If you love the series half as much as I do, you'll be a fan for life! The story is exciting, thrilling, fast-paced, suspenseful, sweet, romantic and easy to follow. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. My favorite! The dialogue is smart, entertaining, well executed and flows seamlessly. I'm also very impressed with the presentation of Chant's books. They are extremely well edited, the formatting is excellent and the covers are always beautiful. But it's the characters that take center stage in this series. They are captivating, intriguing, engaging and endearing. They grab your attention, capture your heart and hold you prisoner from beginning to end. The heroes are all handsome, charismatic males with kind hearts carefully concealed under their strong, gruff exteriors. The heroines are beautiful, intelligent women who possess remarkable strength, courage, and kindness. No wilting violets among these women! I love it! Chant skillfully combines these elements to craft a delightfully entertaining paranormal tale filled to the brim with heart-pounding danger, spellbinding drama, heart-stopping adventure, spine-tingling suspense, heartbreaking angst and sweet seductive romance. What didn't I love about this book? Not a darn thing!
Handsome dragon shifter Lucas 'Blank' is in a bit of a pickle. For the last six months, he's been employed by Protector, Inc., a private security firm owned by bear shifter Hal Brennan in Santa Martina. Beautiful Journey Jacobson from Lummox, North Dakota is also running out of time and money. I became totally infatuated with Chant's work last year after reading Bodyguard Bear, the first book in her Protection Inc Series and immediately became a fan! I fell head over heels for the concept of the series and the large cast of magnificent characters featured in each book. All of the books in this series are standalone novellas, featuring a different member of Protection Inc finding their mate and their very own happily-ever-after ending. The characters introduced in the first book make a return appearance in each subsequent book which draws the reader into the story much more quickly. They become our friends and family and without a doubt, it's one of the things I love most about this series. Chant has continued the thrilling fast-paced adventure with Protector Panther, the third release of the Protector, Inc Series and she totally knocked this one out of the park! Although each release is a standalone novella featuring a different member of the Protector, Inc team, I would highly recommend, at least, reading the first book, Bodyguard Bear, since it introduces the large cast comprising the Protector, Inc employees and sets up the premise for the entire series. Does her name sound familiar? It should! Remember Ellie McNeil, the lovely brave paramedic from the first book who mated Hal Brenner, owner of Protection Inc? Yup, that's the one. Well, Catalina is Ellie's paramedic partner and best friend. See what I mean about Chant's skilled world building and character development? The heroes are all handsome, charismatic alpha males with kind hearts carefully concealed under their strong, gruff exteriors and the heroines are beautiful, intelligent, brave women who possess remarkable strength, courage, caring, and kindness. No wilting violets among these women! I love it! And folks, this book is twice as long as the first one coming in at almost 200 pages! Woo-Hoo! What did I love about this book? Everything! What didn't I like about this book? Not a darn thing! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since there are a few steamy dream love scenes. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she publishes the next book in the series!

Will Shane be able to confront his demons and reveal his secrets to Catalina about his dark past? Will Catalina be able to accept Shane and his secrets? Can Shane find a way to escape and save them both before it's too late? We'll see! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read. I have to admit, I was really looking forward to both Shane and Catalina's story but I had no idea I would get both in the same book. They are absolutely perfect for each other! I loved it! Well done Ms Chant, well done indeed! I can hardly wait to see who the next story is about!
Did I like these book? No, I LOVED them all! Would I recommend them? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain steamy, dreamy sex. There are currently four books available in this series and all can be read as a standalone, however, I highly recommend reading them all. This box set includes the first three, but the fourth, Warrior Wolf, is also available separately. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! After reading Bodyguard Bear, the first book of the series, I became a diehard fan and never miss a release! Zoe Chant is one of my top five paranormal romance authors and one of only very few on my automatic one-click list! And finally, was I entertained? COmpletely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

What a great series!

I don't write a lot of reviews but Protection, Inc Box Set 1, is SO worth the time taken to urge other readers to support the series! Shapeshifters, hell...great premise, a new one for my reading pleasure. Add sex, danger, heroes to root for, bad guys to cheer on to their demise...what's not to love? Might I add Zoe Chant is an author I've been binge reading for a couple of weeks now and I really enjoy her stories....keep 'em coming Ms. Chant! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Body Guard Bear - 4 Stars
I usually don't read to many short books as I feel like the story is rushed but I actually didn't mind this one, had some other good characters in it that hopefully will turn into a series, hopefully with more developed stories though. I liked the H/h interactions, Ellie was very brave and strong and didn't act stupid which was a nice change.

Defender Dragon - 3 Stars
This one wasn't as good for me as the first one which was a tad disappointing as I love Dragons, though having said that it was still a quick and easy read!
Didn't mind the h, quite brave as she helped rescue the H. Story line was ok, didn't get to see or hear much from previous characters of Protection Inc which was a bit of shame.

Protector Panther - 3.5 Stars
Major Spoilers....
I liked this one and was looking forward to Shane's story as the glimpses of him in the previous books had intrigued me.
The whole he was wasn't born a shifter but was made into one took me by surprise, not a bad thing but seemed to come out of left field for sure. It was a little too convenient that the h was so open to the change and actually wanted it, I don't know for some reason that didn't sit well for me, to easy I guess.
Overall the story was engaging and I liked how his follow PJ (Red) wasn't actually dead and that they were able to save him, that had a nice feel to it and I was glad that he was still "good" and wanted to be saved.
The h was indeed a strong character, which is great, but her willingness to go through the change and be made a shifter was a bit over done in my opinion. She was too into the whole superhero mind set. Loved that she was a competent h though, didn't panic at the drop of a hat etc.
Overall a good addition to the series, great to see the whole Protection Inc gang again and hopefully Red will join the pack in a later book?

Bodyguard Bear
After witnessing a murder, Ellie needs protection. Hal grew up in the backwoods, but is determined to not return. Their attraction is instant. Will Hal be able to keep Ellie safe? Will Ellie accept Hal's shifter side?

Loved Hal and Ellie. Loved Hal's dedication to protecting her and his soft side even though he is this big bear shifter. I thought Ellie was a great counterpart to him due to her strength and calmness. Great read!

Defender Dragon
Journey left her hometown to travel, despite others telling her she wouldn't make it. Lucas escaped his home country at 18, to run away from his future. One engagement party brings them together. Will Journey accept Lucas and what he is telling her? Will Lucas be able to protect Journey and discover who is against them?

Loved Journey and Lucas. Journey is this fearless woman, who was determined to see the world despite what others had told her. Lucas was refined, but once he fell in love, he was all in and determined to do anything for her. Great read!

Protector Panther
Catalina has been called many things, but she has always been determined to help others. Shane escaped captivity and now lives in the shadows. One group is determined to create the ultimate predator. Will Catalina stay strong? Will they both be able to escape?

Was excited to get more of Catalina and Shane. Both characters showed strong personalities in previous book and they really showed their strength in this one. Loved how Catalina really just took things as they come. Loved Shane's protective side. Both were evenly matched. Great book!

1- it was good that she would keep her nerve and make damn sure she stayed alive 4 not only herself and 4 the stranger of the sexy bodyguard that made a promise 2 help her at keep her at his side 4ever. It was really awesome that in xs of need and protection the group will save the day 4 the better. 2- it was messed up that his uncle screwed his life cause of wanting him 2 come back 2 his country and it was just shocking that they would do anything 2 make 2 people marry when they r not in love or anything and when he finally finds his true future a asshole wants 2 destroy and kill them all just cause of his selfishness. Maybe in the future him and his uncle could make amends hopefully. She is interesting how they tried 2 save each other. 3- WTF!! etc is the deal with the black ops killing innocent civilians and trying 2 change them. They both would do whatever it takes 2 save each other. It was really good he found his best buddy and hopefully he'll get much better asap and show up and start working with his buddy again like they used 2 yrs b4. That asshole got what he deserved after everyone that got killed cause of his stupidity. Hopefully his buddy will b a mate 2 Simone in the group.... Can't wait 2 read more asap!!

1 - BODY GUARD BEAR
Very enjoyable read with a believable plot and likeable main characters.
Loved the team but don’t really get to know them very much. Looking forward to reading book two.
2 - DEFENDER DRAGON
Seemed to fizzle out for some reason. Too quick on the insta love and the veiled Cinderella theme was silly to me.
Expected more after book 1.
3 - PROTECTOR PANTHER
Well written and started off well, grabbed my attention quickly, then detoured into what felt like the mixed plot from other books I have read.
Secret Black ops, deranged megalomaniac scientist who thinks he is god by creating shifters/super soldiers (called predators in this case).
After being such a good character in book 1, I cannot believe how cuckoo Catalina turned out to be. Happily letting said mad scientist experiment on her and her hardly saying boo about it. A highly qualified paramedic and someone I thought if as a solid person goes Yah, I get to be Supahero. Really don’t think so.
Pity as I really enjoy the rest of the team and would love to read their books.

1st 3 in series off to a great start!

I loved how these 3 stories seemed to just flow. The first 2 were a little shorter, but that made sense to me. The third one had a more complex back-story to introduce. Hal and Ellie in book 1, Lucas and Journey in book 2, and then Shane and Catalina in book 3 all seemed perfect for each other. They each had issues to deal with and action, but the characters were the highlights in all the stories. You find yourself identifying with them from the get go. Then the action sets in and makes the stories hard to put down. Get this set and you will save a little money.

If you like shifter stories that have great characters, some super action, steamy scenes and an intriguing storyline, then this series is for you. Enjoy!

Book 1
3 Stars

Loved the H/h and as interesting as the conflict in the storyline was the conclusion was rushed at the end.

I love PNR and know the whole Mate thing is fast and heated and that doesn’t bother me; I liked the quick connection for the couple.

The other shifters for the agency sound interesting.

Book 2
2 Stars

I skimmed quite a bit; couldn’t connect with either the H or the h. The ending was predictable in that they ended up together and the usual court intrigue irritated me to no end.

Book 3
3 Stars

Interesting that Shane is a different shifter altogether, and the reason he is makes for a good read.

Usual fast paced shifter love with the introduction of a real interesting secondary character in Shane’s friend.

This series speculates on what the world would be like if there were hidden populations with extra abilities, like super strength and the ability to shift into an animal. Zoe Chant's worlds have a set of internal rules that I've not quite mastered, but this book set is the first in a long series of interrelated stories set in that world. I enjoyed reading it, but I'm a bit of a prude so the explicit sex makes me very uncomfortable and I find myself skipping past those parts. That works for me and I don't think I missed anything by skipping ahead.

So Addictive

These three books are amazing. I swear, I got so drawn into them that I lost track of time and I lost sleep a couple nights in a row. I just didn't want to put them down. They are so addictive that I can't wait to read the next set in this series. Zoe knows how to write the kind of stories that draw up in and you never want to stop reading. I highly recommend this series. So addictive!

Get ready to binge read!

I love sitting down and losing myself in a series, and the first story definitely sets the stage for this. Of the three stories in this collection, Shane's is my favorite. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the first set, couldn't wait to read the second collection, and forgot to leave a review for these! 😄

This is a fantastic box set! I read box set/collection 3 with all 7 stories but it was not available to review. All the stories were well written and full of steamy romance and lots of action. The characters were wonderful and amusing at the same time. It was easy to remember how each shifter and their mate met each other as the stories continue. The ending was perfect when all the couples and their "pets" all came together for a party.

Close friendships

I really enjoy this series. I love being able to follow each of the members of Protection, Inc and learn their stories.

There is a lot of sex scenes but I’m not too bothered by it since it works well with developing the relationship. I do skip the last scene just because I don’t care for the ending sex scene since they’ve already had their happily ever after.

The Protection Inc shifter bodyguards find love on and off the job. Founder and bear shifter Hank finds his mate as do his dragon and panther coworkers. These shifters heat it up with their mates while keeping those they love safe. Stories are interconnected so best read in order for maximum enjoyment.

Fun collection of quick stories

I am glad this collection expanded the characters and universe that I read about in some of the other books. Of course it now makes me wonder if all of the shifters have to be careful like Shane when in animal form, but maybe that will be explained in other books. I recommend this if you like stories where the girl gets her guy.

I was on a Sci Fi binge now I am on a Paranormal shifter binge and that is how I came across Zoe's books. Once I find an author whose books I like I will read them all and let me tell you Zoe has a lot. They are quick and easy reads. Some serious some make me laugh but all have danger and fated mates.
I enjoy paranormal stories as they take you away from everyday life and anything goes.

Another great series by Zoe Chant. I’ve noticed that protective Inc should be read before Protective Inc : Defenders as it gives away characters and plots before the reader gets to understand what’s happening. I’ve enjoyed reading this series. Certainly recommend readers who enjoy reading

I've read a few of her books now and like them all. However, of all I've read these are the best. The heroine actually saves the hero which is refreshing. Ms Chant actually makes the women strong.

What more can a girl want, three stories, three different shifters and all so lovable, Alpha and caring.
I do recommend them if you love shifters. The sotries are short, easy to read and flow well.

Loved It

This collection has everything, I love in a romance about shifters and hot love scenes that don't disappoint in any way. Be ready to fan yourself because it sizzles from beginning to end. A must buy and so ready to read collection two.
