This is a great rhyming book to introduce your child to different habitats and the animals that live in them. It is part of a series of four, and this one covers six animals that live in the desert. The pages on the left-hand side are filled with the name of the animal and a four-line poem about it, while the right-hand side shows a picture of the animal, as well as a random factoid. The end of the book is comprised of a picture of the animals hidden in the landscape, more facts about the animals and the habitat we find them in, and a short glossary. I found this to be a great teaching tool, and I highly recommend it for children ages 4 to 10.
