This book is also helpful in East Africa. There are tons of interesting birds to identify.

This is a book for "fledging" bird watchers. A few pages give advice about wildlife photography. While interesting, a lot of the is outdated given the new digital technology. That said, some of it is relevant and interesting. I enjoyed reading the descriptions of birds and seeing the associated pictures.
