Highly informative (although unsurprisingly very very limited wrt non-white women and problematic in some of the few mentions of black and Indigenous women). Readable but dry and so dense that it's hard to follow despite the author's best efforts to remind the reader of who/what she's talking about (I just embraced it and stopped trying to track who was who tbh).
Extremely readable but still scholarly. It covers working women in America from native Americans before colonization until the 1920s very well. Great resource for the history of the average women in America and what they did outside the home.
