This was one of the earliest books I have ever "read" or was read to my sisters and me by my parents when we were little children. The sheer pleasure of listening to naive fairy tales, imagination and fantasy. The first time I heard of Cinderella or Rapunzel or Puss in boots or Beauty and the Beast. Our copy looks now exactly like this one, torn from all sides; but in my view it is one of the most beautiful books in the whole world !
