Lady Sarah Wentworth is scared and running for her life. Her uncle has put a price on her head, so she leaves England, in hopes of a fresh start away from Lord Wentworth’s tyranny. That is until a storm nearly sinks her ship bound for America. Her rescuer, the handsome captain, Rex Masters, or rather Lord Alexander Masters, seems determined to learn her secrets and her real identity. Is it because he is genuinely interested in helping her or is he another one of her uncle’s lackeys out to destroy her? Worse still, a fierce pirate, One Eye, is hunting them all. As the noose tightens, she must decide, is Rex her savior or her executioner?
A very cute short story and I loved the scene where Rex realizes just who Sarah is and how he persuades her to admit to him who she is so that his discovery can be verified. This is a beautifully written love story and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Sarah Wentworth hits the high seas for America running for her life. Only to unexpectedly run into the very life she's running from. This was a quick enjoyable afternoon read!
