Suspense and action.

Good story, Morgan character again shows us love can change people. What psychiatric can't do, but caring, loving person can. With her father, she hunted, tortured and killed, but great new future might be ahead of her.

Wow! I wasn't sure about this character, but Morgan Ames is SAVAGE, and I love it. I think one of qualities of a good author is to have characters that make you feel something. As much as I'm starting to enjoy Morgan, I'm starting to really not like Jenna. And, this love/hate relationship, is why I will be grabbing the next book in this series. I want to see what happens to these characters. Can they be redeemed, are they a lost cause, will they fall from grace, or is there a happy medium.

These books are not for the faint at heart. There is an honesty in the writing that I find refreshing.

“Raw Edges”, second in the 'Renegade Justice' series, reads like it was originally written as a novella which was later expanded.
Psychopathic serial killer Clint Caine is on the loose after escaping from prison with two other inmates.
Top of his 'to do' list is making his enemies pay and his 'daughter' Morgan is a high priority.
To make a long story short Clint learns that payback really is a bitch.
And Morgan … “sometimes a predator, sometimes a protector, but never the prey ...(she) might have given up killing for a living but who wasn't ready to give up on living.”
It's quite readable but not particularly memorable.

This was my first Lyons novel and I found it fast-paced and full of action. Morgan Ames is a teenager who was taught to kill be an abusive father and serial killer. She has a miraculous way of weaving her way in and out of trouble. The reader can’t help but like the grit she shows as she tries to shed her troubled past and build new relationships that are normal. I think author C.J. Lyons has got a hit on his hands. I’ll read more.

She did it again!!! C.J. loves those cliffhangers!!! Makes 'Angels Weep' a must read.

'Raw Edges' depicts Morgan changing through her relationships with the people around her. Jenna remains an unsympathetic character, but her unrevealed past is starting to seep out around the edges, promising interesting developments in future books.

Well worth reading.

CJ Lyons is very entertaining as a writer. Her stories are quick to get involved in, and you just want to keep reading into the night! Morgan Ames is a very interesting character, and I can't wait to see what other shenanigans she gets into! If you've read Thrillers with Heart, I suggest this series as well.
