Lola has paranormal gifts that she does not understand, let alone know how to control. She ends up in a parallel world where she meets Eulalia who seems to be a mentor, but who does not give Lola many details. However, she does ensure Lola that her special abilities are a gift, not an affliction. She tell Lola that her job is to protect a “Target”, but not who that was; all would be revealed in time.
On his twelfth birthday, Morgan and his dad were on the way to pick up his birthday present. His dad assured him, that the present would change his life forever. Tragically, his dad died while attempting to save a women and child trying to escape a car accident. Morgan’s life was changed forever by the loss of his father, not by the present that Morgan never received.
From there the story really gets going with several crossed paths, friendships, successes, tragedies and romance. Revealing any more of the story will take away from the surprises and enjoyment of watching it all unfold.
Good news, this is a complete story, no cliffhangers! Another great read from Ciana Stone, I highly recommend her books. They always have interesting twists and are full stories for very reasonable prices.
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
