As you can see in Section 3, instead of combining all the stones together, they're divided into (what I feel are arbitrary) categories of their application/theme: 1) emotional healing, 2) spiritual healing and guidance, or 3) shielding and protection. Then alphabetically within. Why not just A-Z for all, since their main functions can be mentioned in the keywords. This is just personal preference, and this way it was organized will be perfectly fine and perhaps even make more sense to many other people.

As for each crystal (in Section 3) there is a mini table prefacing each item (I really like this format):

Has nice color photography, not just of the crystals but to accent the earlier chapters. There are people posing like in meditation or writing their affirmations in a notebook. Very coffee-table-book feel. A small comment: I know many stones have a huge diversity in appearance, but somehow I don't really feel that all of the sample images are representative of the crystal's energy. I'm thinking of Judy Hall's Crystal Wisdom Healing Oracle deck, and Jade-Sky's The Eternal Crystal Oracle Cards, which are able to do that. Again, this comment has to do with the photos rather than the text of the book, so this may be a negligible point.

4 stars: good resource, has fun facts and suggestions for activities for each stone, nice to look at.

This had great basic information about crystals in the first part, including how the colors correlate with the chakras and how to cleanse and empower your crystals. The second part has information on various grids for the body and how sacred geometry can be used in crystal grids. The third section is an index of 100 crystals that work well with energy healing. If you’re well on your crystal journey, this book may be too basic for you. If you’re just getting started, this might be the perfect book to use as a springboard to dive right in!

This had some great information for beginners but definitely felt cherry-picked and not comprehensive. Odd inclusions of rare or off-the-beaten-path crystals rather than readily available ones felt performative (look what I know!) rather than practical to me.

I got some initial guidance about energies and crystals I wanted to add to my learning and collection, but overall it seemed an insecure "narrative" overall, and not as useful as it could have been.

When wanting to expand my knowledge with crystal healing , I bought this book and I was not disappointed . Awesome book for beginners , tells you different methods on how to cleanse your crystals , meditation tips , the meaning of different crystal shapes , in depth information about 100 different crystals !! This book is awesome , I just purchased this book for my own reading library .
