From the USA Today Bestselling Authors, A.M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine comes a new standalone sexy sports romance, Sidelined – A Wilde Players Dirty Romance.
Cassidy
I hate him… I love him… He destroyed me… and now He needs me.
Fletcher Wilde, a gorgeous quarterback in the NFL, is the man I should have married. He’s the one that walked away, choosing football over me. He shouldn’t be back, especially not looking that good. And not sitting in my waiting room chair with a bum leg and confident cocky grin that sets my insides on fire.
It’s impossible to forget how he rocked my world both in and out of the bedroom. Keeping things professional won’t be easy, especially given our history. My mission, however, is getting him back on the field—the place he loved more than me, while not losing myself in him all over again.
Fletcher
Cassidy Miller is the only physical therapist in town. And after a potential career ending injury, she’s my ticket back on the field or my NFL career is over. Unfortunately, she’s the same Cassidy who ripped my heart to shreds when I thought we were a team.
Sexy and intelligent, she’s the last person I thought I’d see again. As it turns out, she looks better than ever, making me want that smart mouth of hers doing things to me that would drive a sane man crazy.
Lucky for me, my determination is legendary. Winning is in my blood, which makes me number one on the field. Being a single-minded man, my focus is to get her back and this time for good.
*Don’t go looking for a lot of football in this book, although there will be several touchdowns. This quick, sexy, second chance love story will ignite your e-reader. Be prepared to sweat a little when you read this hot, fast and frivolous erotic love story!

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, USA Today bestselling author, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she made a quick decision to quit her job and reinvented herself as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.
Reader, Writer, #WalterThePuppy Owner, Dark Chocolate Lover, Ice Cream Worshipper, Vodka Aficionado, Coffee Drinker, she believes coffee and ice cream should be added as part of the USDA food groups.

Promised herself not to fall for him again, no matter how swoon worthy Fletcher is. But Fletcher has one goal in mind to get back Cass and prove to her that their love is worth a second chance.

This is my second book from these writing duos of A.M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine and I know it won’t be my last. I cannot wait to pick up another book by these authors.
Note: Thanks to my fellow Shhluts Julia for this awesome gift! xoxo
3.75 stars I actually liked this book. It was sexy and funny; and the both MCs were OK. I loved how the hero wooed his girl/h. And I understood her doubts and sort of liked her resistance (much better for me than immediate surrender and whiny/weak heroine). Fortunately it was not a typical 2nd chance romance – there was no unnecessary drama about their break-up and the h didn’t put her life on hold afterwards. H was not a manwhore -!!!Hurrah!!! There were some twists/drama I found not quite adequate, but it worked at the end. Safety note: Looking forward to reading about Gina! Cool chick! Cute epilogue!
I am a bit torn here. Plot wise it was strong with a lot of aspects in it I usually connects with a good story. I was not completely sold though. The writing was decent, but kinda “chopped” short, and it took some of the enjoyment out of it for me. I do think I want to read another one from them because I do have a feeling they know how to write, but since this novel was so short I feel like I haven’t seen all they can do yet👏
In terms of me liking the characters I was also not on team “this is great, guys”. I just don’t understand why the excuse they made up for not being together could be such a small “problem”.
They just didn’t make me want to know what had happened because I didn’t find their troubles so “deep”. And then non-stop jumping in bed with one another? Didn’t exactly scream “we are so working through our problems” to me.
Read: 03/02/2020 1st rating: 2.5 stars Genre/sub-genres: Contemporary romance/second chance/sports romance Cover: 4 stars - he is so pretty! POV’s: Dual-1st person (Cassidy & Fletcher) Will I recommend: Hmm, I will have to read something else because I can decide if the author is worth recommending.
I have come to love stories written by Terri E. Laine & A.M. Hargrove, so it was a no brainer for me to pick Sidelined! I enjoyed getting to know Cassidy and Fletcher, as their old feelings redeveloped after being apart for seven years. Sidelined was a quick, sizzling read with a touch of suspense that I devoured quickly.
The story begins with Fletcher being in an accident, which eventually leads him into Cassidy's office, so she can help him rehabilitate his injuries. I could see there were old feelings between them that bordered on a love/hate relationship. There's no denying the chemistry that still remains between them but there were a lot of issues they needed to work through as well.
Cassidy had been through a lot since Fletcher left, even now she was dealing with her cheating ex-husband. She deserved some happiness after going through something so difficult, and Fletcher seemed to be the right person to make her happy once again. I loved her determination, as she was working hard to set up her practice and she had the will power to succeed.
Fletcher was determined to get back to the NFL, but being back in his hometown and spending time with Cassidy forced him to realise what he was missing and that he needed to re-evaluate his life goals. I could see the change in this broody, hot headed man the more time he spent with Cassidy.
Sidelined was a very enjoyable second chance romance. I loved the chemistry between Cassidy and Fletcher, and how connected they were over such a short time of being together once again. Terri E. Laine & A.M. Hargrove have once again delivered a pleasant and sexy read, and added a little twist to keep me on edge.
Can ex's rekindle that long lost love? or is it done and over with?!
Flecther a football star gets in an accident.. costing him the season.. as he recovers and gets better his therapist happens to be his ex-girlfriend Cassidy who he left behind for his dreams.
The sexual tension.. the angst from their past and present.. its so good you wanna smack both parties... plus some drama from someone's ex
What i hated about this story.. so much "will we" "won't we" from Cassidy.. like make up your mind!!! also another thing i disliked about Cassidy.. they had sex right away like girl make him beg at least.
Injured handsome smart mouth QB Male Sassy, Stubborn sometimes stupid gal Drama No Cheating Second Chances sizzling sex background charas ohh i want Gina's story with her man or not man and we do next book HEA EPILOGUE
Again ok read, really quick! Fletcher and Cassidy dated when they were in college but Fletcher was following his dream by playing for NFL so they broke up and years later Fletcher comes to his hometown and get hit by a car so he needs quick rehab asap and guess who works at rehab center - Cassidy...so they begin second chance love story.
This was a quick and entertaining read. I love these two authors together. They gave us a novella that had all the parts of a full length novel. Great storyline, relatable characters and some extremely steamy scenes.
If you are a fan of a second chance love story and are looking for something that only takes a couple hours to read, then give this book a try. I know it has a football theme to it, but don't worry, it isn't overloaded with a lot of football jargon. That is actually more of a side story to the main story.
I look forward to reading more about the Wilde boys in the future :)
25 second it’s all it takes to change your life. A quick, steamy, angsty, second chance romance. This is a shorter story that can be read in one sitting. Really enjoyed this book!
Looking for a quick, steamy, angsty, second chance romance? Then pick up Sidelined by A.M. Hargrove & Terri E. Laine today!
Fletcher is a pro-football player, home for a while to take care of his parents house, while they are out of the country. Everything is going great till he’s hit by a car and needs to rehab and prove himself able to play for his team again. When he steps into the rehab center, he never thought he’d see the girl who got away, and the love of his life again. Seeing Cassidy again makes him feel things he hasn’t felt in a while, and Cassidy feels the same way.Cassidy is dealing with a lot, she’s out of a bad marriage, paying off debts, and just trying to get by. She never fully got over Fletcher, but isn’t ready to let him back in.
Both of these characters have been through so much and have let so many misunderstandings keep them apart. I really wished they would have been more open with each other, and not always bringing up the past, but it helped make this story a good one. It was a bit of a role reversal in this book though, as Fletcher knew what he wanted and professed his feelings over and over again, while Cassidy was hot and cold with him. She wasn’t ready to let him back into her life and to be broken again by him when he left.
Throughout this book these two learn to trust one another, and they both realize what is important to them. It takes a lot for them to finally figure everything out, but not without a lot of fights, drama, and some super hot sex!
If you’re looking for a quick read, and love second chances romances. I highly suggest picking up Sidelined today. I read it in one sitting and am hoping we get Ryder and Chases’s stories one day!
If your in for a quick , drama pact , smoking hot, football player book . Then this baby is definitely for you .
This story is about a man named fletcher who is smoking hot and a women named Cassidy. These two dated when they were younger and then had to break things off and then years later they are being put back together due to an accident that happens. This book will keep you on your toes and there is a lot of drama that does occur in this book !
There was a lot of times I wanted to strangle some of the characters but there was so many times I was swooning and ahhing . I absolutely loved this book.
Now the part I know all you ladies are hanging onto. The sex . Yes I know! This is the parts that I cannot wait for when I read a book. The sex is this book was hot as anything. It was smoking hot! I thought I was going to have to fan myself . Let me tell you fletcher is very good with his hands and his tongue .
Are you intrigued yet !
If you haven't read this book , then I suggest you move that booty ass and one click or do whatever you need to . I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I liked it .
Good job to the authors , you've made once again a wonderful book !
Was hard to finish this book. This is a contemporary second chance romance. Found the reason for the H/h breakup to be rather unbelievable. Found the /h to be insecure, selfish, and annoying. These characteristics made the H/'s love and devotion to her ridiculous. The interaction with the/h's ex OTT and not in an angsty amusing way. This is my first book by the author so I am hopeful this was just a book not meant for me.
I feel like I lost years of my life reading this. I’m now going to read A Court of Mist and Fury for the 4th time to reward myself for getting through it
This book with filled with cheese. It was just okay. Nothing spectacular. It was pretty short so it had that going for it. For sure not my favorite of the year.
It’s enjoyable all the insatiable sex scene , love the persistence of H - Fletcher Absolutely annoyed by Cass - h , indecision overall she just behaving like immature teenager
This was my first book by Terri E. Laine and I have to say it won't be the last. I absolutely loved this story. The author did a great job with the story line and her characters. She gave them life and purpose in this enchanting story. I could not put it down once I started reading it. I'm not going to tell you anything about the book because I don't want to spoil it for you. You absolutely need to read this book.
The football season is almost upon us. The training camps are underway and the fans are gearing up for opening day. Sports romance fans are also getting in the mood for some football, or should a say a hot football romance. A. M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine have delivered the opening football romance for the readers to devour. First up on the players roster is Fletcher Wilde, NFL quarterback. Are you ready for some hot passes and scoring touchdowns that will make your panties wet and your heart flutter? Fletcher has the plays.
Fletcher Wilde has returned home to North Carolina on his season break to take care of his parents home and dogs while they are away on vacation. Nothing ever happens in this sleepy small town and it's a good rest before summer training camp. He hasn't been home since he signed with the NFL.
Twenty five seconds can be a game changer. It can change the coarse of the game or change the outcome of your life. Fletcher knows this but didn't realize the impact until twenty five seconds changed everything. His career is on the line and his heart is taking back his life. A hit and run accident changed Fletcher Wilde's life. It brought him back to Cassidy, the only woman he has ever loved.
Cassidy Miller was devastated when Fletcher left her for the NFL. Picking up the pieces of her broken heart was difficult. She moved on, finished college, married, started a career, and became a business owner. On paper it looked like her life was perfect. The fact is that she had a miserable marriage and is now divorced. Although she is the only therapist in town, her business is struggling. When Fletcher Wilde walks through her door for therapy, her heart is on the line.
Cassidy and Fletcher are finally going to get closure or the happily ever after they were meant to have. They will have to deal with Fletcher's injuries, Cassidy's mistrust, a conniving agent, overprotective BFF, greedy team owners, and a diabolical ex husband. Fletcher's game for anything as long as Cassidy is his end zone.
A. M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine have a winner with this second chance romance. I'm looking forward to seeing what Wilde is up next the game roster.
Sidelined was the perfect, sexy sports romance to kick off the season.
The duo has done it again! First it was gut wrenching love, then taboo love and now a sports second chance romance! What a great book to start off the football season! It's a fun read that will keep you warm while sitting in the stands this fall. Fletcher "Wilde Hands" Wilde is a NFL football player who only has eyes for his long lost love, Cassidy Miller. When Fletcher is involved in a hit and run accident he is left with an injured shoulder and knee his only hope to be able to return to playing condition is intense physical therapy. Cassidy "Cassie" Miller is the Physical Therapist who will help Fletcher mend his shoulder, knee and most importantly his heart. While Fletcher tries to heal from the accident he also tries his best to win back Cassie. Cassie fights Fletcher at every turn because she can't deal with him breaking her heart for a second time when he leaves her to play football again! But Cassie has one problem she just cant resist Fletcher. And you won't be able to resist this book and the fun loving couple of Fletcher and Cassie along with all of their loveable friends! Great Job Terri and Annie can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. I'm sure it will be another Touchdown!
This is a quickie, novella type (ends at like 55-60% with previews of other books rounding out the rest.) Second chance more so than enemies to lovers, IMO, with the sports romance as Fletcher is a QB.
When an accident lands Fletcher back in his hometown, he never imagined his physical therapist would be his old high school girlfriend, Cassidy. It's clear their relationship demise caused a lot of hurt on both sides so tensions are high between the two. The spark is obviously still there and neither can resist the burn of their attraction, but the reasons why their relationship didn't work seem to still be hanging over their heads, causing Cassidy to continue to shut Fletcher out. Can Fletcher win Cass over and show her he's changed or will they be over before they ever get started again?
There was good chemistry here and both characters are likable and sincere. Story and writing could be fleshed out a bit more to make this even better, but it's a short easy read.
Put a hot quarterback and a feisty physical therapist together, add just the right amount red hot scenes to spice things up, sprinkle with laugh out loud moments, throw in some nail biting tension for dramatic effect, mix well and you have the perfect recipe for the beginning of a brand new series from my favourite writing duo, A.M. Hargrove & Terri E. Laine.
I thought Fletcher was a bit of a jerk to begin with but I cut him some slack because of his accident and because he was so damned hot! I liked the way he didn't beat around the bush with his feelings for Cassidy, he was open and honest about how he felt.
The chemistry between Fletcher and Cassidy was electric, my kindle nearly melted they were so hot! They were perfect for each other, I loved the way the banter flowed between them.
Sidelined may be a short story but it had enough content packed into it to keep you hooked until the last page. A quick fun read, perfect to curl up with, can't wait for Ryder's story!!
A 5 star for Sidelined by A.M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine, for this fast paced romantic comedy that was hot and heavy. It was intense with an hint of some suspense.
Fletcher and Cassidy took different paths years ago. They were never able to meet in the middle. Now Fletcher, a football player crosses paths with her. Old feelings will resurface but will they able to rekindle what they had?
It was a short story but one that I enjoyed. Even if it was short, I got to know the characters. Characters that already know each other or have history make stories better paced, which was the case here. I read this in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down.
This is a standalone told in dual POV with an HEA. It's a novella to a start of a series that include quite some steamy hot scenes. I recommend this book.
