This is a very inspiring book that will get you going toward your dreams in life. I am doing a re-set of my own life so this book couldn't have come at a better time. The fact that Mr. Tankard bases his philosophy on the Word of God totally just makes it that much better.

He gives us the tools to get our dreams off the ground and set the goals to achieve our destiny. This isn't some fluffy book - there's hard work here that has to be done - but he inspires and lays the ground work for us to do the hard work.

Of course, the great thing is we aren't doing this work alone - we are doing this with the Lord and putting Him first. I love this because so many "self-help" books are based on just that - self. I find that if I could do it by myself, I would have done it long ago but using Biblical principles and knowing God is with me, gives me the strength to go forward with my dreams. The premise of the full tank life is that our tank needs to be filled from God so we can draw from it.

This is where the early morning steps come in and not allowing roadblocks to stop us. He also reminds us it's important to have people in our life that will support us and not deter us.

This is a fantastic book. It had so much great inspiration and practical steps to achieving our destiny. It's an easy, entertaining read and I really enjoyed just reading it. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 our of 5 stars.

Tankard wants his readers to live life at full throttle while also keeping the fuel level steady. He offers lessons he has learned on his way to living the life he enjoys, the life God meant him to live.

He covers seven key areas: DESTINY. Dreams, Environment, Subconscious, Time, Inspiration, Network, You.

Tankard wants us to dream, unleashing our imagination. He advises write them down and creating a vision map. He covers the environment of our belief system and the importance of our thoughts. He asks us to face our subconscious fears and push ourselves out of our comfort zone. He suggests good use of time by prioritizing and noting the progressive nature of God's plan. He reminds us we need to keep our inspirational tank full and helps us build our confidence. He suggests having a network of wise people around us and gives ideas for finding mentors. He lastly covers the power of our own human mind, our expectations and decisions.

This is an encouraging book for someone who is ready to start over again, is ready to dream and begin the journey to a full life. It is like a beginning workbook as space is provided to writes down answers to the questions Tankard asks. There are lots of encouraging personal and biblical stories as well as inspiring quotes.

I recommend this book for those ready to dream, get motivated, and make general plans. Tankard's life has had many setbacks so this book is encouraging for someone ready to bounce back from discouragement. You'll not find specific information or detailed worksheets but instead more general encouragement for life change.

Food for thought: “I'm convinced any success I've achieved is the result of God blessing my efforts to be all that He made me to be and sharing my gifts with the world.” (136) “At the end of the day, your Full Tank Life is found in Christ alone...” (185)

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of an independent and honest review.

I love the name of this book because it resonates with me. I often write about our "hope tank" being full, half-full, empty, or in-between! Tankard plays well on his name and the whole concept of living with a full 'tank'. Yay! Ben!
Tankard covers a lot of material in the book but one of my favorite sections was, "One Day Island." One day I'll do such and such. One day I'll go here or there. One day I'll ... And, it causes pause and the question asked, am I living a life stranded?
In The Full Tank Life, Ben reveals his secrets to success and seven keys to achieving your destiny - if your looking for personal growth relating to your dreams, environment, subconscious, time, inspiration, network, and you - pick this one up.

The Full Tank Life is an excellent road map to help discover, start, or finish your God-given calling. Even if you’re already walking in your destiny, you’ll find good advice and new information.

This book has easy teaching, laugh-out-loud humor, and inspiring life experiences. The author’s testimony of how God chose the piano for his destiny is phenomenal! The course he used to fulfill that calling is very motivating. It helps to see your core destiny and the myriad opportunities connected to it.

His brief teaching on God’s timing grasps attention and broadens understanding. I’ve often heard pastor’s instructions on God’s timing, but his stands out. Through use of an air traffic controller and pilot analogy, he draws a striking, vivid picture. It clearly defines God’s process and the role in which we should play.

This helpful book is inspiring and well worth your time. I recommend it.
