A man so full of hatred he made Jews turn around when talking to him so he wouldn't have to look at their faces,a man involved in the murder of over 200.000 people,an alcoholic thief, bully and killer.A man who grovelled at Himmlers feet sending him sickeningly servile messages,Odilo Globocnik would go to any length to please his beloved SS leader. Sacked as Gauleiter of Vienna for financial irregularities and general incompetence,Himmler rescues his career by posting him to Lublin in Poland. It is here that Globocnik became involved in the final solution and the building of several extermination camps whilst simultaneously making himself rich off the cash, gold and jewels of his victims
A fairly straight forward biography, perhaps less detailed than Odilo Globocnik, Hitler's Man in the East but equally worthy,my only criticism is the author seems to cast doubt about his death,I don't think the evidence reflects that.
