(Review for the full story) This one was all right, I suppose, but not up to the par of the other crossover stories. Too many cliched mad doctors and emoji robots - one or two layers of irony above what I can handle.
This is the first of these Dredd crossovers I have read. It was really entertaining and the story was cool, and made sense. The book mentions that Dredd knows of the Aliens from a past run in with them, though the Predators, the Yautja are new in the story. I will be getting the Alien crossover because this one peaked my interest. It just seems that a city with 800 million people and massive crime going on that even an army of Judges can't control is ripe for a Predator hunt. The art here was pretty good, though I would have liked it to be a little cleaner. The story is good but I feel this could have been about twice as long as it was, and I would have enjoyed it even more. Judge Anderson is the key here, being able to communication telepathically with the Predators and get them to understand and join the Judges when the going gets rough. I really did like this one, though it was a really first, one setting read. Looking forward to more when I get a copy of Dredd Vs. Alien: Incubus.
He comes from Mega-City One, a gargantuan and densely populated megapolis many hundreds of miles away. He is a Judge, the last and best defense against a world rotten with chaos, corruption, and rampant criminality.
Well I really couldn't resist reading this, available for free on Amazon if you have Prime. Three of my favourite franchises collide as infamous law man, Judge Dread faces his toughest challenge to date.
Xenomorps are running amok, Predators have arrived to find a fallen comrade, and Dread is on the hunt for a secret cult who are targeting Mega-City One.
Should be titled “Dr Moreau meets Judge Dredd vs Aliens featuring Predators”. This was worth a read but lacks the epic battle you’d expect from its title. Well written with some good ideas that could have been explorer further (loved the idea of the alien judge and Anderson’s ability to understand the predators) and awesome artwork but lukewarm in terms of action .
If your looking for an epic “versus” comic I’d recommend Freddy vs Jason vs Ash!

I’ve never read a Judge Dredd comic before, but having based it on this one, I will need to. Dredd works with Predators to take down a Mad Scientist and a hive of Xenomorphs.
This time, it’s Predator Vs. Aliens with Judge Dredd in between for a three way battle in the first epic issue of Dark Horse Comics’ Predator Vs. Judge Dredd Vs. Aliens by John Layman in a mix of Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and (I’m quite sure, though I haven’t seen it) Predator Vs. Alien! I don’t know about you, but if a title has the word “alien” in it, it is twice as catchy as it would be otherwise. And, like they’re all saying at ComicAlliance, the comic is “exactly as awesome as it sounds.” This issue is set to be released on July 27th, so write down that date!
Judge Dredd: “The Law” in a megapolis, the last and best defense against a corrupted world of chaos. Serving justice brings him to Earth’s wastelands, searching for terrorist fugitives from Mega-City One. A gang of criminals is stationed in his way, to distract him from the fleeing leader … Dredd and his gang beat them all at the traditional game of punch and blow in order to find out where “Archbishop Emoji” has run off to.
Back at the lab, Doc Reinstöt is interrupted at work on his half-dead Predator, only to be alerted that there are even more trespassers on his territory: a gang of what looks like other Predators, doing what they do best.
Thus is the storyline for Predator Vs. Judge Dredd Vs. Aliens. I love that this is the first issue in an ongoing series, and that so far it is only Aliens vs. Predator, and Judge Dredd hasn’t quite run into the conflict yet … things are building up, and the ending was quite the cliffhanger. The beginning was very genius too, as it began introducing the Predator … only to be the prey on the third page. The story builds momentum from there, switching from character POVs and settings and back.
Judge Dredd is another of those wonderful characters who have suffered greatly over the years at the hands of less than skilled craftsmen Big box contrived mash ups are the bane of comics however it really does play here The Dredd universe is enough of a weird sci fi carzyverse that bringing in Predators and Aliens actually works
The story has Dredd chasing some criminal scum out into the scorched Earth and encountering even worse insanity than normal
A lot of fun with a dash of the old ultra violence that makes Dredd so special
