This is a pretty good guide to get started if you haven’t played the game yet. With how many updates the game has had, a lot of this book isn’t very accurate anymore. But, the basics are there. I wish the images were a little larger so I could read the screenshots better. I do like the defense charts in the back, I thin that’s helpful.

Started playing when son needed a new friend, not quite sure what I am doing, I've starting doing research to understand it better.

When this came out in 2016 it was probably more helpful, it did answer a couple questions I have but I need to learn more and this book didnt cover too much in depth

This book is helpful to learn how to play the game and what all of the lingo means. Like with many other games or new activities, there’s a lot to learn, and this book helps simplify it for you. There are photos and helpful charts so you can visualize things too.

A good introduction to the game. I like how it starts out with the different terms used in the game, then breaks down the different parts of the game (how to catch, hatch, evolve, and fight Pokemon)
