Chapters 1-100

Chu Yang, the Ninth Master of the Nine Tribulations Sword, sacrificed almost everything he had for the sake of improving his martial arts, including the love of his life. After spending three years locating the fifth fragment of the Nine Tribulations Sword, he was ambushed by all sides at that very place. Mortally injured with no means of escape, Chu Yang executed a sacrificial technique by plunging the Nine Tribulations Sword into his very own heart. “With the blood of my heart, ten thousand tribulations will collapse!”

After witnessing the death of all his ambushers, Chu Yang’s vision began to darken. At a distance, moments before his death, he saw the mastermind who had plotted his downfall — Mo Tian Ji, the elder brother of his beloved. With that, his eyes finally closed.

However, with a start, Chu Yang once again awoke to find that he had returned to when he was sixteen years of age! Furthermore, the Sword Spirit of the Nine Tribulations Sword now resided within his Dantian, the energy center of his body! From that very moment, Chu Yang would then begin to right all of his past regrets, and carve his very own legend by fulfilling his destiny as the final Master of the Nine Tribulations Sword, and defeating the Heavenly Devils beyond the realm of the Nine Heavens Continent.

A story about a guy that wants to mess around with a 9 year old girl. If you removed all the pedophile stuff the book would be ok but the author really has a thing for 9 year old kids to a disgusting degree.

The first 7 chapters aren’t the greatest. If you hate them, as I did, try to read up until the translator changes on chapter 8.

This starts out very good with competing kingdom ms intrigue, a worthy smart antagonist, a background love interest and a set up for future mystery in the search for the main character’s origins. The quality started to considerably degrade with the forced awkward one-sided love interests and the MC lusting after the 9 year girl, the lover in his past life and the reason he reincarnated. Read the first arc (about 500 chapters) for the mental skills match against the antagonist, if you can get past the 9 year old love interest. Then, stop reading.

The MC has plot armor and protagonist’s luck to find cultivation materials, top grade weapons, god level medicines and cultivation manuals. This is expected for this type of martial arts and cultivation Chinese novel. .

The lack of details of the specific process to upgrade in cultivation was frustrating. Fighting to exhaustion can make one level up, yet, millions of soldiers fight and never level up until the MC tells someone this is an option to level up 5 times a day. All the people he helped should have been peerless cultivation masters and sealing heavens within 20 chapters with his “secret technique!” The author skipped too many details found in most cultivation novels.

The reason for reincarnation was to protect his love interest. But, the author made the love interest too young in the second life. The author also had scenes of the MC lusting after the 9 year as if she was an adult. He literally used the term “the Loli” repeatedly to steer the reader to see the child as a sexual object enticing the MC!

The low is when the MC spanked the child on his lap and got a third leg arousal while slapping her bottom, started sweating, then, poked the child with said third leg. This l followed with her asking what’s on his lap underneath her! Seriously, I can’t make this up! The cultivation novel started dropping into the land of pedophiles and creepy uncles early on. It has too many poorly written Lolita sections that should be skipped.

The bromance of the second generation noble misfits felt like fillers to extend chapters. I love a good bromance novel. This is not it. The “everything is better when I have my bros next to me” mantra was repeated ad nauseam! Bromance Brothers are all emotionally healed and get love we don’t get from our siblings/families because we are bros! Brothers instinctively line up in an instant formation against an enemy because we are bros! I will kill off your biological siblings to eliminate a future threat you can’t see because we are bros!🤮 Too much!

The harem building was almost as bad as the pedo sections. Smart, skillful women turn into fools and throw attitudes because the MC did not read their minds and fall in love with them. So, they just lived in their fantasy worlds hoping he will see them as love interests while they sacrifice everything for him. Hundreds of chapters of the women not confessing was irritating. Skip these parts.
