Review:
“He touched me gingerly, used his warm, strong hands to wet every inch of my skin. I met his eyes, his hair water-darkened, his lashes weighted by droplets, his eyes completely unreadable. And then I was pressed against his chest, his arms tight around my shoulders, soft stomach against his hard abs, lean thighs against mine.”

5 mob stars!! Suspenseful and dirty hot, just the way I like my mob stories!

I don’t read boxed sets usually, but I had to have this one because I love all things Mob related!!! And let me tell you this set did not disappoint. I’m so sorry I missed out reading these books sooner!! They will keep you on your seat as you read and you’ll need to know what is going to happen next!! Seriously great, great series, but now I want more!

These three books tells an interesting story of three men who are hell bent on staying single because they believe they can never find the right woman and if they do, put her in danger because of their life. Well, everyone wants someone to love, no matter how hard you fight it. The heart wants what it wants. These characters, both men and woman fought internal battles with themselves weighing out the pros and cons of their relationships. In the end, they all chose love, however they can get it.

Ok, these insta/mob love stories are pretty good. I mean, there's a formula [hulking dude+tattoos+brooding silence+brown damsel in distress+curves+sexy times = Lurve] but it works! The editing is good, the mistakes minimal. The second story with Soren and Esther was my favorite because Esther was just funny. She had an actual personality and that's what lifts a formula above mere formula. I'd read more if the heroines were more like Esther.

HER:
I thought the only thing I feared was living another day in the hell my life had become. But when I looked at his hulking, tattooed body, the icy brutality in his eyes, I realized I was wrong.
HIM:
Familie. My clan.
I’d fight for it, kill for it, die for it. It’s all that matters to me. But her innocence, only barely hidden by thick layers of makeup, the curves that her tight dress can’t hide, calls to me.
So I’ve decided to keep her.
No matter how deadly the consequences.

Three out seven

The first three books in a seven book series on Romanian Mafia. Each of these books centered around a couple. The storylines don’t follow a formula; they are diverse. The constant are Romanian mobster falls for an African American civilian whom him rescues from a familiar mobster.

I enjoyed the first two books; but, the third book had a holey plot.

This was the first time I have ever read this author and WOW. I was hooked from the beginning. It is a 3 book box set and I DID NOT want to stop reading once I got started. After finishing these books, I so wanted to go out and find a Romanian Mobster of my own.

The first book in the set was Keep. In this book, I got the pleasure of being introduced to Vasille and Fawn. Vasille was a strong, tough, quite, deadly, all alpha, that gave new meaning to the term sex on a stick. Fawn was scared, abused and almost like a walking shell of herself. When these two meet, it’s on, both of their worlds turn upside down. Lots of feels, drama, suspense, hot sex, I couldn’t stop reading.

The family story continues in book two Fall. In this book, we learn the story of Sorin, Vasille’s brother and Ester, Fawn’s best friend. Sorin is strong, deadly, and tough like Vasille, but he is a bit more reserved in the sexy department. Vasille is the leader of the clan and Sorin, his right hand man are both of the belief that even criminals do the right thing. You stand by your family and you protect your women as well as what belongs to you. Ester is a very strong willed, independent woman and she gives Sorian a run for his money. She isn’t the type of woman that he is use to and she blows his mind. Once again, we have lots of feels, suspense, drama, a great story line and I didn’t want to put it down.

There are other Romanian clans involved in this and we get to hear some of their stories in book 3, Avenge. We move over to Clan Constantine and Anton. He’s the number 1 bad boy, top dog. Enforcer, right hand, smart, cunning, get it done, loner, I don’t need any one, and of course sex on a stick. Then comes the old man’s nurse, Lily, sly, sneaky, smart, and sexy, has a big heart even though she doesn’t want to and when she meets Anton it’s all over. Sparks fly and the kindle started melting.

All of these books kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next, the men where hot, the sex was hotter, it was just great. I look forward to reading more about these Romanian Mobsters. I give 5 Stars all around. Cheers for Kaye Blue.

I loved these novels SO much! I devoured them in two days, and then purchased Keep: The Wedding, the lead up to Vasile and Fawn’s wedding, and War (the most recent book in the series), which follows Priest, a pesudo-advisor to Clan Petran and Clan Constantin, who has his fingers in all sorts of pies.

After that, I picked up the first book (Possess) in a spin-off series about another criminal organization, the Syndicate. There’s only one book so far about Maxim, who was Priest’s mentor (we meet him and his love interest, Senna, in 'War'). We also meet Maxim’s colleagues which will likely be the leads in the next books.

So basically, I’m a massive Kaye Blue fangirl now!

The books are all well written, but slightly formulaic. There will be insta-love, lots of smuttastic sex, and some violence (since the leading men are all on the wrong side of the law).

But what I love most is that in EVERY ONE of these books, the leading ladies look like me… they’re Black, darker-skinned, bigger girls and these tall, dangerous, hella HOT men fall head over heels for them. *FLAILS*SWOONS*GIGGLES MADLY*

Keep:
That was an intense read. The journey taken was not paved in gold. Vasile and Fawn were made for each other to fix each other. Fawn awake feelings in Vasile that he didn't know existed, Vasile made Fawn feel worth and safety. Glad to see that the road not paved in gold finally became golden in the end.

Fall:
O enjoyed Fall as much as I did Keep. Sorin and Esther were a riot. Two people who acted like they were in grammar school with their antics before really understanding their feelings for each other. Two worlds intertwined one normal one not so normal...perfect.

Avenge:
Avenge:
Lily had a mission and Clan Constantin was gonna pay. Braden needed justice and Lily was gonna be the server. Anton wasn't sure about Lily in her role to Christoph Constantin as his nurse at his time of illness. It seems no one really has concern but Anton. Who is she? What is it about her that nags at him? Besides her beauty and the tingle she made him feel with barely a touch... With Anton caught by Lily in her room, it was when he stood in front of her that she knew he wouldn't be easy to sway because of the way he made her feel. No Anton filled her mind as much as she filled his but both needed to concentrate on the matters at hand. Anton had a job to do for Christoph and Lily had revenge to plan out... Things heat up between Anton and Lily will each do what they were meant to do?
I must read series for each a standalone but intense reading. Kaye has a great series on her hands with this one.

So, I got through the first book and started the second. I just couldn’t get into the second at all. So I left it at that.

The first book is about Fawn and Vasile.

‘Okay I’m not going into a plot summary here.

Overall I liked the first book. Where there a lot of things that bugged me? Yes! But, I really did enjoy the fact that Vasile kept true to himself. In almost all of the mob books the heroine has some sort of voodoo power that softens the hero in a lot of ways. Mostly in the dialogue department. Vasile, however, did not budge on his detachment from Fawn and his business.

With that being said, honestly the dialogue could have been improved. I didn’t really get a depth of character that I was looking for. Throughout the entire book I was waiting for Fawn’s story to unfold, only for it to never to happen. Disappointing. You also never get any history on Vasile. A little frustrating.

As I said I started the second book hoping that Sorin and Natasha would get their story, since she was in love with him. No such luck. I really do prefer a heroine that has some spunk. That has some attitude. But, I am growing tired of the “I’m going to be a bitch because I like him” bullshit. I mean, how old are these people. So, I just couldn’t continue, but by all means the first book really is very entertaining and I would recommend it.

HEA (on the first novel), dual POV, no triggers.

Mess with their women...then meet the Grim Reaper

I enjoyed reading this series. These Romanians are something to fear but love at the same time. Strong yet attentive and loyal to their women. Fawn is so sweet, to be abused by one but shown what love and pleasure really look like by another. I love how Vasile just walked out with her...like a true boss! Then you get to meet Sorin and Esther. Those two were hilarious, yet so sexy together. She had the rose covered glasses removed from her eyes, and see the way the other side of the coin operate. Last but not least...Anton. Yummy...Yummy Anton. To be ostracized by the ones he love and treated like an outsider, yet be loyal to his family without retaliation...what a martyr. Until said family threatened his boo thang. Lily was seeking revenge, but found a different reason to allow that desire to slip away. She felt so strongly about Anton that she let him have a piece of her that no other could have. Don't mess with these Romanians women, unless your funeral is what you seek.

Who doesn't love a good mob series?? I know I do! I was so excited to read this box set that gives you a glimpse into each of these strong males and the women they love. Each man similar but very different in their personalities and the way they love the women they love.

I couldn't decide which was my favorite couple but I think Sorin and Esther were my favorite. They were so antagonistic and elementary school-age ish to each other and their attraction. It was fun to read their spats and then how they would make up.

This was a great box set with great couples!

Keep: I have to read more of this series! I loved Vasile and Fawn together, even tough I wanted to slap Vasile most of the time.

Fall: Sorin and Esther are like oil and water but somehow they work so well together. This was a great continuation to the story from Keep and I can't wait to read Avenge.

Avenge: I liked this book, I just felt like it was missing something, after reading the others. I wish there was just a little more to the ending, but at least they got their happy for now. I'm interested to see who we will get to read about next.

The books are just ok.

Nothing great. Predictable . Not very realistic. One thing that always bothers me is when virgins just have sex all willy nilly. They have made it to adult hood with their virginity intact but after having limit conversation with a KNOWN criminal it's time for the panties to come down. Oh and its ALWAYS good sex.

Not sure what to say about this series. The stories aren't bad and I kind of love the three heroines. The heroes, on the other hand, are a bit TOO alpha male for my liking. But the novels were quick, light reads and I did enjoy them. The highlight for me was this: I had started teaching myself Romanian and by the last book I no longer needed Google translate to tell me what they were saying. Hahaha. It's the little things. Not sure if I'll read the last few in this series or not. The first - Keep - was by far my favorite.
