Grant, our SEAL, has just been handed the divorce papers by his wife. She's never been happy with him being away so much. But he's not overly heartbroken. More disappointed that he couldn't make the marriage work.

Enter Jennifer.
She's the hostage Grant's team just rescued from Somali gangsters.

Jennifer wanted to spend a year teaching Somali children. But she was kidnapped pretty much immediately upon arrival.

Now that she's back home, she still has nightmares and she doesn't really know how to get started with life again. She was so sure she would die in that kidnapper-camp.

That's when she sees Grant again....

Can those two lonely and slightly broken people have a chance at a happily ever after?

Good addition to the series. Liked seeing Grant and Jen get together. Both had been thru some difficult times but they managed to overcome their pasts.

And then there was Grant, sweet, solid, sturdy, Grant. Navy lifer, completely dedicated, fearless leader, and clueless why his life is falling apart. Grant starts out with his life in shambles, he changed his work life to be around, and yet his wife is still unhappy. He quickly realizes it is his job, and he can't give up

Jennifer lives with a brain full of 'told you so' when she is captured by rebels. Unexpectedly saved when she thought death was her only way out, she clings to her saviour. It is beyond hero worship, and when they meet again, she knows it is genuine attraction

Grant can't stay away, but is shy of a relationship as the charred remains of his marriage still looms. Jennifer knows what she wants, and won't settle for less than everything she wants in life. Their needs align perfectly, but unless they talk, neither will know!

This is the 10th book in the series.

We've met our hero a few times in the past books. First as a teammate, and then as an instructor and now he wants back into the team. However, his wife doesn't like it and makes her opinion known. When he goes back on the teams, his wife makes a decision and he finds divorce papers and then gets called on another mission before he can even sit down and think about it.

Our heroine decides she wants more from life and wants to take a timeout for awhile. Her boyfriend doesn't want her to go either and gets upset when she leaves. However, something happens to bring the hero into her life.

When the hero meets our heroine, he and his team are willing and have killed to get her out. When he uses his body to shield hers, they both start to have feelings for the other especially the attraction part. However, even after they get back to life, and our heroine finds herself single and yet each can't get the other out of their heads. The plot was pretty good an realistic overall really.

They end up together once again and they find they want to be with the other no matter what. They tried space, self inspection, and other's opinions yet only want to be with them. However, are their feelings to do with the mission to rescue the heroine or something more?

I could really feel for our hero. It reminded me of the other book in this series with ex issues. However, whereas that ex was really bitchy and took him for what she could get, this hero's ex took very little except for the dog. I think a guilty conscience of cheating on him could have been the main reason she left. The heroine, well, she was very spoiled in my opinion. However, she quickly changed with what happened to her.

I started with this book because it was on my mom's Kindle and it is true that it is a stand alone. Sometimes in a series that I start in the middle of, it's sometimes confusing because characters are linked. I read this without confusion. I did get the feeling that some of the guys mentioned may had had their own books but there were no past memories of previous stories in this book, at least I didn't notice anything.

This story follows Navy Commander Grant Milton. He and his SEAL team as well as 3 more are sent to Somali to secure the rescue of American aide worker Jennifer Anderson. She is there to help children but a shortly after she arrives she is kidnapped and held hostage with a fellow Dutch volunteer. She has all but given up being rescued when Grant and his team come to the rescue.

He is fascinated with her even though they briefly spoke before he disappeared before she could thank him. He is hot, handsome, alpha and all male, everything I have come to expect from SEAL romance novels.

Jen is strong, independent, giving and her character struck a chord with me because I am an educator. She is an amazing character. Ms. Johnson speaks of using kids in combat and how it's done and that strikes a chord in me as an educator.

This story was sexy and face paced but not without some rocky roads to cover first. Both characters have been burned by love but this is a second chance to get it right with different significant others. I liked it a lot and will certainly read the rest of this series starting at the first one.

Grant and Jennifer have instant feelings for each other but are they real or because of circumstance

I can't believe his wife served him divorce papers they way she did and was in such a rush to get them signed and filed. AND she is keeping his dog. Grant's team is sent to rescue Jennifer and another aid worker who have been kidnapped. They meet again when the President invites him her and her parents to the White House for a luncheon and to award his team for a job well done. They start something there but then Grant takes advise from others and stays away from her with no one intact at all. Soon he realizes that he doesn't want to be without her in his life. What will he do when she doesn't answer his calls, texts, or emails? How does he find her and where does he find her? Will she forgive him and take him back?

Hero Worship or True Love?

Jen just wanted to teach children in Somalia how to read, now she has been in captivity for two month, believing she is going to die. Grant is the commander of and elite SEAL team sent in to extract the hostages. The extraction goes great, now he is meeting the woman he saved, thanks to the POTUS. Feelings neither of them expected, have surfaced, but is it hero worship, or does Jen really care for him. Does Grant really want Jen or is he on the rebound after his wife served him divorce papers right before the mission? Can they figure this out before feelings are hurt and chances are lost? This was a great book, plenty of steam and a wonderful story!

Jennifer Anderson is in Africa to teach children. She has been kidnapped and has a pretty price tag on her head for release. Grant comes home from a mission to find divorce papers waiting for him. When he is called out on a mission, he relishes the idea. They rescue her and the Dutch man with her. Grant can't stop thinking about her. Can they have a relationship after what they both have been through??

Grant is a Navy SEAL who comes home from training to find divorce papers. Jennifer is taken hostage while in Africa teaching. Grant's team rescues Jennifer and feel an immediate connection. They both have issues they need to work out.

This is a quick read. I wish the story was a little longer and provided more details about Grant and Jennifer.

Rescued by a Hot SEAL: A Reluctant Hero Romance (Hot SEALs Book 10)

Interesting story of a rescue mission. Rescuing a hostages and going through a divorce was an interesting twist to this book. Both characters had a lot to learn from each other.

I liked how they learned to communicate after realizing that is the only way to make the relationship work, by talking.

Ms Johnson, you had me at SEAL!

I adore this series. Each books is a quick, sexy suspenseful read that has you on the edge or your seat.

Grant and Jennifer's story has a little bit more action than your average relationship. So many obstacles they need to overcome, but who wants everything easy peasy?

I adore Jennifer's strength through the story.

I loved that we got more of the GAPS boys, particularly Jon <3

There was nothing I didn't like about this book. Each and every time a new GAPS books turns up on my Kindle, I know I am going to have a great couple of hours, enveloped in the world of these sexy SEALs and their ladies.

Rescued By A Hot SEAL is a sweet story about 2 people taking a second chance at life... and love.

I hope we get more of Grant and Jennifer in later stories, and can't wait to see what Ms Johnson brings us next.

Rescued by a Hot SEAL: Hot SEALs
by Cat Johnson (Author)

Grant Milton is a Navy SEAL, Jennifer Anderson is an Aid worker kidnapped in Somalia..Grant and his team are sent into rescue her.
What they both are not ready for were the feelings they have for each other. Grant thinks she is suffering from Hero worship....and he is also just going through a divorce. Jennifer is not ready to live the life with a Absentee husband after reading about his job, so she heads back out to do more Aid work not knowing it is a place just as bad as the one she is kidnapped....can they get over their worries and figure out a life together????
Of course...always a great read by Cat Johnson!'

Another enjoyable story in the Hot SEALs series. This one certainly kept me engaged from the start, although I do wish there was a little more action in the rescue of Jen at the beginning. But it was a quick and easy read, had very little in the way of angst and both main characters
were really likable. They certainly shared a spark and had a couple of hot moments. Therefore, I would recommend this story to others. Especially if you are a fan of the series

While I really enjoyed this story, I feel the repercussions of Grants actions were glossed over. Grant is a SEAL Team Six leader and lead the mission that saved Jennifer's life. In all other set ups like this there would at least be an acknowledgment of how it could be extremely inappropriate for Grant to use his position to access information about her.

Nice Difference

Love the difference in this storyline. Not to spoil anything, but when the heroine works in one of the troubled Countries, it makes it an all different story. I do hope to hear more about Grant and Jen's life in one of Cat Johnson's future Hot SEALs books or a novella.

An OK-ish read. I know it was a quick read... and boy oh boy... didn't it feel like it. There was too much plot shoved in there... but not expanded upon properly. I really felt like I had read part of a story, not one that was complete.

Good Read!!

I loved the whole story, the events, concepts, the heat. I recommend this book. While it grabbed me from the start and kept me reading every chance I got, I felt it was a bit rushed. Didn't deter from the journey really, just wish there had been more of everything.
