I'm not sure what precisely are the origins of the material upon which the book is based. If they are taken directly from the lolcats website(s), then I commend Koford for his remarkable creativity. His interpretations of typical lolcats-speak are clever and funny (references to Star Wars, Land of the Lost, etc.). However, as they say, "you can polish a turd, but it's still a turd." I know I'm probably in the minority, but I think that lolcats is way past its prime (if it ever had one) and Koford is better off using his talent and ingenuity elsewhere. 3 1/2 stars for art and humor, 1/2 star for source material.
I don't want to consider that Koford came up with all of the text on his own. It would just make me too sad...

If you like cats, hoboes, and Internet memes, these are the comics for you. The author manages to combine these seemingly disparate elements into “The Laugh Out Loud Cats.”

I was surprised at how difficult it was for me to get hold of this book: It wasn’t listed on Amazon and the only Interlibrary Loan institution that offered it was the Library of Congress. This installment shares many of the same comics with the author’s second book,The Laugh-Out-Loud Cats Sell Out . Sell Out is better edited and more nicely presented, so most fans will probably want to start with that title.
