I just finished this book and it was fantastic. I read it because I read "The Giving Tree" last year and I found this book at my local library's book sale. 📚
Even though not much is known about Silverstein's personal life, Baughan did an excellent job researching Silverstein's work, possible influences, and various interpretations of his work. ✒️
It's not a very long book, but I learned alot about Shel Silverstein that I didn't know before. I recommend it to anyone exploring the work of Silverstein as an artist. 🌳

I loved the format of this book. I read the Louisa May Alcott version in the series and it was formatted totally differently. The writing in this story was super excitable, this book featured more pictures than the other, and I loved the feature on the cover that listed some of Silverstein's most popular titles. For ages 9-14.
