Michael Bond, CBE was an English children's author. He was the creator of Paddington Bear and wrote about the adventures of a guinea pig named Olga da Polga, as well as the animated BBC TV series The Herbs. Bond also wrote culinary mystery stories for adults featuring Monsieur Pamplemousse and his faithful bloodhound, Pommes Frites.
A lovely little tale of mice living in a dolls' house from the creator of Paddington Bear. Emily Sutton's illustrations are really something special. This has the feel of a midcentury picture book and I loved every page of it.
One of the cutest picture books I’ve ever seen. Author of Paddington Bear partners with an impeccable illustrator to make something truly darling. I would hang these illustrations on my wall.
I don't know how anyone grows up afraid of mice when childrens' books are populated by so many adorable ones! The Perks, a delightful family of 13 lives in a dollhouse in a castle. Their adventure may be a tad familiar, though with original touches, but the illustrations absolutely make this book for me. Mrs. Perk is my idol.
a simple tale with delightful illustrations throughout that evokes the charm of smallfilms stop motion classics. indeed it could almost be a story bagpuss might tell the mice on the mouse organ. a little joy to read and one children will fall in love with.
I LOVE Emily Sutton's illustrations, and so I ordered a few of her books from the library. I knew this one would be a hit, as my oldest enjoys a little critters and animals. In fact, after reading this book, he said, "I wish I was a mouse," which is so funny to me.
