Santorno #7

Open Doors

Rate this book
The tight-knit Youngblood-Santorno extended family is trying to put their lives back together following the loss of a beloved member. At the same time, they struggle to head off the danger that may come next. The family is expanding by leaps and bounds with the addition of new friends and newborn babies. While several couples grapple with changing diapers, Jason McKinley and Josh Reynolds struggle with their changing relationship after the death of Jason's brother -- who was Josh's fiance. As the men fight their mutual attraction, Stefan and Jordan Youngblood fight to keep the family safe. Someone from the past has an explosive agenda that puts everyone in danger. Against a backdrop of increasing terror, unlikely relationships form and others move to new levels of commitment. Because if they've learned anything recently, it's that life is fleeting. But when you take on one member of the group, you get the whole dangerous package. Stefan hopes they might be able to relax for once, but he isn't stupid. He knows that with his surname, it's just not possible. Because Santorno is not just a name. It's a way of life."

I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!

If you are looking for LOTS of sex scenes in a quick read, and not too worried about substance, this is your book.
Me, I just didn't like it. I really WANTED to like it. I love most of the characters from previous books in the series. It had some great plot points. But I felt like the interesting parts of the plot were rushed, and thrown haphazardly between sex scenes. SHOCKING that I would say this - there were too many sex scenes between too many different characters. It felt rushed and convoluted.
All that being said, I love ALL of her other books. So one miss won't turn me away from one of my favorite authors. If this is the first of her books that you've read, I HIGHLY recommend checking out her other books. Always lots of heat, characters you fall in love with, and entertaining, imaginative plots.

This is true soap opera territory with more mad exes, plottings galore and marriages and engagements at ridiculously young ages.
But like a soap opera, it's eminently readable in spite of all the drama and it's a cool insight into how all the other bits of the teams in the Assassin Shifters series got together.

This one made me a bit weepy as it dealt with Josh and Jason's relationship and knowing what actually happened to Tanner made it all a bit emotional.

This bunch of badassess aren't quite as much fun yet as the werewolves and shifters but they're still enjoyable to pass time with.

Another great add to the series. More heartbreaking moments and healing in this book. More and more great people are added and the family grows. Josh and Jason have made it through everything, Parker and Jake are hilarious and touching. Kyle and Dante are surprising and I can't wait for the next.

Santorno stories 7

More snippets from the lives and lives off all the Youngblood/Santorno family, the hardest part is keeping the current couples straight as everyone seems to have dated each other at some point!

OMG, This series gets hotter and hotter with each book. Its always great to catch up with the Santornos/Youngbloods & crew, and I love the fact that new relationships are growing & others are becoming more established. All I'm gonna say is Lorenzo & Reece! DAYUM!!!!!!!!

This series has me wishing that I really could change my gender & be transported straight into their story, truth be told there are quite a few characters in here that I wouldn't mind being transported under either, just saying.

When I first read Medicine & the Mob I honestly didn't think that Sandrine would be able to top the Assassin/Shifter series or write anything that could rival my obsession with that series, how glad I am that she has proved me wrong (more than once too). Cannot wait for the next book in this pantie melting series.

Better than the others

Again, Josh and Jason steal the spotlight and I have to say that I kinda like Jake and Dante as well. I guess as a New Yorker I can relate best to them. What I can not understand is why half of our manly men were treated like woman and made to hide out from the bad guys. I found that just ridiculous...I can see some remaining with the kids but the others?? No way!! Most of the book is the same as the others , which is repetitious..I love you a thousand times per page and a sex scene every page for every couple...blah blah blah
At least a lot ties in with the assassin/shifter series now.

Too good!!

The Santorno team is back!! All the couple's are back!! But I will say this...start at Medicine and the Mob first. Start at the beginning of the series. I love the fact that in this book there are relationship resolutions. This book as everything we have grown to love with Sandrine Gasq-Dion books. Love is in the air!! Let's not forget we get to witness the beginning of a new relationship...Reese and Lorenzo. Plus new babies! If you haven't already start the ride from the beginning with Medicine and the Mob and read them all!!!

I really love this series. It did take me a little bit to really get into the series, but now I'm really invested in all the couples, and with this book new couples are brought together. This is a definite continuation of the previous books, so they need to be read in order.

I love how we get a look into each couples lives, and how they are growing and adding to their families, and growing closer as a unit and one big family. I will say there is a lot of sex going on in this book, and sometimes got a little over the top.

Overall I love the series and can't wait to read what's next.

I love this series. Each book is well written and a joy to read. This book is just a great as the others in this series. I have to say that if you have never read any of this series then you need to start with book 1. Each book starts up pretty much were the last book ends. As it is important that if you have never read anything by this author then you need to first read her Assassin Shifter series before starting this one. I am looking forward to what comes next.

There Is Always Room For One More

If its not one thing its another. Someone is always foolish enough to mess with the Santorno family even after being warned. And now that these guys have families, they are willing to d o anything to keep them safe. I do love this family, lol. This is a smoking hot action packed read. Enjoy I did.
