One mans hunt for Emile Buisson who was the most dangerous murderer and robber in post war France, possibly a little dated now and probably difficult to get hold of but i thoroughly enjoyed it. One that i will keep on my bookshelf.
The book is based on Roger Borniche's own experience - his involvement in the hunt and capture of the Frencg gangster Emile Buisson. Largely autobiographical, although I feel that certain parts sounded fictional...
This book is really interesting. From the begining to the end, it constantly takes you to an expectation level, waiting for the "flic" to caught Buisson. The narration technic is also pretty good. Although, I felt that the whole story was a little bit of the same. Not saying that it was bad but maybe I personally wanted something unexpected to make the experience of reading this book a little more atractive.
Absolutely love the way this man writes, it's effortless and every sentence is packed with jewel adjectives and sleek dialogue. The book draws you in from the start and keeps you on the streets and part of the cat-and-mouse game playing out between gripping detective Roger Borniche DI and master criminal and murderer Emile Buisson.
