I was hoping I would get more information about social media marketing strategies for business, but this book just gave overviews of the type of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc). This is great if you know nothing about social media, but if you already know how to post on Facebook or write a 140 character Tweet, I wouldn't waste your time with this book.

The author of Social Media Marketing Workbook sets out to make a book that is part theory and part practice with the aim that the reader will have both a strong understanding of social media marketing as well as have advice on how to do effective social marketing and I think that the book successfully does just that. I liked the mix of advice on what works on social media and the outlook you should take, such as good social media is like throwing a party and what that entails, as well as the extensive tips and sites that will help make creating your own social media. I think that the author also does a great job at showing you really do need to be thoughtful when approaching social media, it takes a lot more than people think to create a strong and effective presence online. The tools and advice in the book are great at helping you to understand each of the major social media sites and how best to make use of them.

This book is more about his personal business than actual stuff you'd expect. It keeps reminding you to go online signup and login event though the material is free and included in the price of the book. You don't learn much from the book. It's probably meant towards an older audience who has no idea how to get a FB page.

This book went very in-depth on most of the relevant social platforms and takes you from a standard consumer on the platform to a creator with a personalized strategy. Really solid stuff for any SMMA/small business/entrepreneur.

Great Book

First book I have read on social media that really resonated with me. Everything was laid out in logical and easy to follow steps. I liked this book and the format it was written so much I purchase the seo workbook.
