This was a well written and thoughtful Christian novel about a widow who moves to a small town where she and her family used to vacation in order to make a new start in life. She finds new friends and comes back to God; she also learns that she is not meant to live life relying on her own power but on God's power, and she comes to a deeper, fuller relationship with Christ. In addition, she begins to heal from past emotional and spiritual wounds, begins to trust male friends more readily, and begins a new romantic relationship. This book was a lovely portrayal of character development and true recovery.

A recent widow relocates from London to Cornwall to begin a new life ... or is it running from the past. In this cozy English village, she meets people who encourage her and help her restore her relationship with God. A bit predictable, but still a calm, enjoyable read.

Oh, my goodness, I loved this book! I was so disappointed when this book ended, and even more disappointed to find that this author has not written anything else! This was one of the most charming, enjoyable, and uplifting books I have ever read. I will read this again sometime just for the way it makes me feel.

This book reminded me a lot of Maeve Binchy with a Christian twist, except that the author is British, and it takes place in Cornwall. It is a feel-good novel, and it was a very quick read!
