Twin Targets

Rate this book
FBI agent John Sharpe was closing in on a criminal he'd made his life's mission to put away for life. So rescuing Sydney Westlake from the churning ocean was a distraction he couldn't afford. But then he learned the beautiful scientist had escaped his target's clutches and could hold the key to closing his case, so John wasn't letting her out of his sight. Sydney claimed she was more than willing to help, especially if it meant securing her twin sister's safety, but danger threatened every move she and John made together. Would the same hold true once their barely contained attraction was finally released?

Sydney Westlake is a microbiologist working on a cure for the genetic condition that is killing her twin sister. Tiberius is an evil villain who is using Sydney's skills (without her knowledge of the real reason why) to develop bioweapons for his own nefarious purposes. John “Iceman” Sharpe is the FBI agent who is trying to take down Tiberius and his operations.

Exciting suspense story with lots of action that hardly ever let up. I thought Sydney was a great heroine. She was smart, brave, and gutsy and was able to hold her own on many occasions. I enjoyed the secondary characters including the hero’s team members and Sydney’s sister, and also villain Tiberius and his compound set on Rocky Cliff Island. I just wish that Sydney had a better hero. John drove me nuts with his lack of trust in Sydney. He was always so quick to think the worst of her—over and over again—anytime that something went wrong, and his love for her at the end didn’t really ring true to me. But despite the less-than-great hero, the suspense was so well done that it more than made up for it.

It delivered exactly what it promised and so I really can't complain about anything.

Twin Targets by Jessica Andersen is a great contemporary romance novel; it’s full of action, betrayal and sister love.

Sydney Westlake is trying to find a cure for her twin sister Celeste’s disease and has accepted a job at the facility of Tiberius. But what she doesn’t know that Tiberius wants her to develop a virus that would undermine DNA fingerprinting. She knows she has to escape Tiberius and make sure that all her work is save till she finds help.

John “Iceman” Sharpe is an FBI agent and has been hunting Tiberius and his men for quite some time. When he runs into Sydney and hears where she came from and what her offer is, he isn’t quite sure what to think of this situation, but he needs all the help to stop Tiberius from selling bio weapons.

The romance between Sydney and John starts real fast after they meet, but I have to say it fits into the story, but everything about this book is fast and full of action. The trust issues that John has with women are understandable if you know about his past, but he should have known better with Sydney.

This novel was well written and very entertaining. Even though it was a simple romance I found myself turning pages to find out what would be next.

Another fantastic read from Doc Jess. She is brilliant. Her storylines are well thought out and have the perfect amount of twists and turns to keep you turning the pages one right after the other. When I finish one of her books I always wish it was longer. No exception with Twin Targets either. FANTASTIC. Definitely a keeper and should win the RITA at this years RWA National Convention. Go Doc Jess!

Contemporary thriller, originally copyrighted in 2008.

This story's about Sydney & Celeste, who are twins. Celeste has a degenerative genetic disease, which Sydney has traded her freedom for working in a master criminal's lab to get a cure for. She escapes & thanks to the FBI she makes it back alive. John is the FBI guy trying to bring down the crime lord & protect Sydney as well. They of course end up a couple. Pretty exciting & interesting book. I really liked it.

The capture of Criminal genius and mastermind, Tibeius, has been the goal for FBI agent John Sharpe for many years. He finally has his chance when scientist, Sydney Westlake, flees the island for her own safety after creating a DNA based vector for Tiberius. Murder, money and power are the basis for this story and the love one woman has to find a cure for her ill twin sister.

This story was well written and interesting, the main characters were multi-dimensional and the story line about perceived betrayal was very complete and satisfying. I have read Jessica Anderson before and look forward to her future works.

Found myself without a book for an hour or two and I was desperate...This was actually good--like one of those cop shows on TV, I think. Only had to skip a page or two.
