Did I get the wrong version of this book? I can't think of any reason to give this book more than 1 star. I am sorry, but it was badly written, it made no sense at all. You break up with your boyfriend and the next day you are pregnant by another guy. It did not take even 24 hrs for her to "know" she was pregnant. I get that with a shifter, things would progress faster, but come on 12 hours? and within 2 days your tummy is noticeably big. Good Lord.
The Spanish version was even worse. Please, please, please people, Google translate is NOT ENOUGH, you need to have a Spanish speaking person read through it and correct all the grammatical errors!
Overall, the book was a waste of precious time! :-(

The story was really rushed and a plot was not laid out well. I felt like I was reading a book written by a 16 year old. Well I have read a book the Outsiders written by a 16 year old and it was good. This was teen fantasy at best.

I liked this story a lot, it's a sweet young girl, older bear story. Not so much heat or sex in the one, a bit of action just sweet.

I liked it but there are a few things I have against it.

But first, the things I liked about it. I love the hero. He's a strong protective bear shifter, and he really is ready for a family. I really want to read more stories with men like him. As it is I'm sick of reading about alpha males with a control complex.

Second: the heroine is not annoying (thank goodness) she doesn't try to take advantage of the hero and I love the fact that she still wants to work even though she is pregnant.

The story has a good plot but here's my list of things I didn't like about it.

It was poorly written. It read like the 2nd draft with little to no editing.

When they have their one night stand she wakes up and absolutely KNOWS she's pregnant. Not even 24 hours later, her belly is noticeably bigger. That just threw me off completely from the story. I understand a shifter baby grows quickly in this universe but come on. That's a little ridiculous.

She didn't even freak out when she found out she was pregnant. The hero steps up and takes responsibility (which is awesome) and neither one even seem scared, confused or even surprised!

I would love to read more of this universe but I think it should be thought out a bit more and the author spend a bit more time editing it.

I have always enjoyed the books written by Sky Winters and this book is a winner, it is fascinating and entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story "Papa Bear" covers Maggie Bullock, a woman working full time & overtime at a Toy Company and coming early one afternoon catches her fiance, Tony Deburgi a so-called artist with a naked woman. Maggie gets rid of Tony, moves out to a friend and goes to a shifter club and this is where the fun starts. What you will find in this story is, a lazy cheating fiance, a caring friend, a shifter club, a drunk werewolf, a caring werebear, emotional feeling, drama, suspense, a stalker, fighting/battle, romance, a surprise pregnancy, falling in love and hot steamy erotic scenes. There are also bonus books include, which cover: Shifter, vampire, contemporary erotic, and clean historical romance including a comeshift series. There is also best sellers included which are: Biker Wolf Baby and Brother Bear. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a well written book about shapeshifters. A excellent book to read

I only read part of the sample and had to quit it. The heroine made three questionable decisions just in the portion I read alone. Two of those could (and probably should) have gotten her killed. She is clearly too stupid to live.

She immediately has sex with the bear shifter in question, gets sick the next morning, and says "Welp, I must be pregnant." Really? Really?? She's described as knowing next to nothing about shifters. Why would she even assume that she was pregnant and not just coming down with something?

I usually don't write reviews based on just a sample but I just couldn't let this slide. The author may very well be a good writer, but I can't recommend that anyone waste their money on this book. If you're considering it, please read the sample first.

A woman on the hunt for her rebound fling gets more than she bargains for. Her X- moocher boyfriend always warned her off shifters so what does she do? Goes onto a shifter dating app and sets up a date. She meets the hansomely sexy male but her intuition is set off and she tries to get away. Step up big brawny and sexier to help a girl out and we have the start of Papa Bear.
Although a bit short for my taste, Sky Winters writes a believable take on what can happen meeting an unknown in a bar. Is it fate or just plain luck that the heroe shows up to save the human from the big bad wolf? I don't know but it was engaging and I did enjoy this book.

This was just ugh. The first thing I noticed were the full phrases when contractions would suffice. Not everyone uses full phrases. Some folks actually like to use contractions...lol. I know it's a pain for me to read that's for sure. Rather in keeping with the book, I should say, it is a pain for me that is for sure. hahahaha

Beyond that, I really enjoy some quick romance books but this was a bit much. The idea was good it just needed to be drawn out a LOT.

Quick read

If you only read the original story Papa Bear it's about 1 her or so. But this has quite a few books attached to the original one. Like a at least 7 short stories that I didn't know were included

Interesting
I wish there was more too it. I didn't dislike it but it was something I will never read again. The bouncing between the characters with little to no warning was confusing at times.

Cute short story. Not much about shifters, the ins or outs but cute. Would have been great if a little more.more in depth.
